Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Sure thing
It's a tough situation to work with on this game, as it's not easy to get evidence when you can't change cars on the replay.
Someone in GT3 said they saw a car in GT4 exceed the limits when he was approaching to lap, but how are we suppose to penalize someone for something there's only evidence of them doing once, you know?

Fair enough, can't argue an opinion

That's the problem you've got these super grasses who see someone cut a corner once and they want them banned for it, if it wasn't for all the GT3 cars smashing down the bollards in lap one track limitations would of been far easier to stick too

The line I was running was the agreed line in the GT4 party for lobby A. If I'm dq'd then you'd have to also dq the rest of the lobby. You'd also have to dq most if the gt3 cars as they abused it more than we did. But because I try to generate interest in the league by making videos for our forum and the wider community it gives the evidence needed to punish just me. I'd be fine with the issue if there was a way to check every one else and I was the only one. But there isn't and I was the only one with a video. The lesson here isn't to obey track limits, it's don't make videos of a TORA race on PCARS.

Can guarantee it wasn't a BG that snitched, that was low.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
As much as people were cutting on purpose or by mistake, it wasnt the easiest task, the rain made it difficult to get the car response that we qualified in. most of the time after braking for the 1st chicane my car wouldn't turn in quick enough and i would have to run over the green run-off on the right side but i never gained from it as i still slowed down to intentionally make the corner but couldn't. also the reason the bollards were taken down is because thats the safest line for the gt3's, in dry and rain the car would spin on exit if you didnt hop two wheels on the higher part of the chicane, it was worse avoiding the curbs in the rain, i practically spun everytime when practicing. based of experience of doing zolder in the rain its not the best track since the chicanes are tight with the grip the rain was giving and it was unfair to take his points considering most people in A lobby could be accused of track limits if everyone was to record everytime they went through the chicanes. for silverstone there should be no excuses for cutting in Q or R, but for R run-off will be more lenient for use for old turn 1 and last turn.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
from what i have read it seems its difficult to police since most will either say they did take the racing line or say oh i was going to fast to slow down for those corners that have been mentioned.unless there is replay proof its basically someone elses word against another.
*friday session 8pm now as i missed the midweek session.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
i think a lot of the problem here is that we are trying to apply forza generated rules to project cars... things are different, track limits/runoffs are different
as i said before the race, if you can't police something 100% then you need to let the game do it (using flags/penalties) - you can't penalise only those caught

Because it's not an SI - it's a decision made based on evidence presented to the organisers based on the Track Inspection as issued by us before each meeting.
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I'm pretty sure that's what an SI is.Matt wrote:

So is damage and tyre wear off for the rest of the season now? Or was it just for Silverstone?

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
think both were down to a glitch... we had some contact in C lobby yesterday and i think running with damage off kept more people actually racing each other, and reduced the round of Fs that normally follow a coming together - so all round a much happier lobby
i agree that's its all "nice" for realism, but until you can guarantee a lag free experience, then it's just a disappointment waiting to happen
or just run limited damage

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
It was brought to our attention today that the Stewards Inquiry Submission Form had stopped working.
We now have a new form up and working, but to account for the time since the race without the ability to submit an SI, the window for the Silverstone 500 will be extended an additional 24 hours to Tuesday at 6PM EST.
Thx guys

I've only had this game a week, so can someone take pity on me and give a few pointers on how to set up the Ginetta GT4 for spa? Please?

There are indeed a few guides around on the web but from a starting point I'd suggest softening the suspension to handle the elevation changes (particularly Eau Rouge) then trim the aero so that it's not carrying the drag down the Kemmel Straight and on the return loop to the Bus Stop in particular.
Hopefully that will help a bit.
