Maldonado.
His existence in F1 is because whatever team he's driving for any given season has "money problems".
But he only ruins these teams even more

I hate to play devil's advocate, but Maldonado is actually having a pretty good year. And everyone outside of Merc, Ferrari, McClaren and Red Bull struggles to keep up financially. Even Williams has trouble keeping up with the big four.
Re: FM6 General Discussion
not being funny although he has good times he still had the record for most penaltys in a season...tho mclaren are encroaching on it

Turn 10 take very little data from the teams. Look at the fact they have a 2015 Lotus E23, there's no way that Lotus would give them any kind of valuable data. When Turn 10 is making hundreds and hundreds of cars, as well when they use Calspan for all of their tyre data, it's not worth their while struggling to get lots of data from the teams.
Maybe the Lotus is in, because Microsoft is one of the main sponsors of the Lotus Racing Team. And I also heard that the Lotus F1 Team is currently having some "money problems". So they possibly found a way that's good for both sides
Yeah, but there's a big difference between signing a car, and getting data for it accurately. Chances are they've been nowhere near the car other than communication with Lotus on the dimensions of the exterior of the car. But for a simcade like Forza, they don't need logs of data for 1 car. It would take too long and there's basically no point with the engine Forza runs on.
Happy that the C7R is rumored, that'd be sweet.

Re: FM6 General Discussion
Do I dare let myself get excited about this latest iteration of the Forza franchise? The cars are there to be able to run championships on TORA but, will the game be capable of letting us compete the way TORA requires?
Will there be adequate replays for S.I.'s?
Will livery & tune gifting be available again? (well that's already a no )
Will the Media Team have the required tools available to them?
With a demo out on 1st September we can all get a glimpse of the handling & the graphics but the 10th (for Ultimate Edition owners) will be the day we find out how "TORA friendly" FM6 really is; fingers crossed.

Re: FM6 General Discussion
I think you need to look at Forza 5 because i cant see too much being different. If you can transfer vinyls / paints and tunes across from Forza 5 to 6, that tells you that nothing is changing in that department, the glitches will all be there on the cars, theres just more of them.
It also means balancing the cars out will be a tricky process again, it wasnt easy on Forza 5 as it was on Forza 4 and again, being able to transfer tunes across means that the building of the cars is going to be the same again.
The sharing of tunes and vinyls not returning is something, im one of the rare ones that agree with this, but i was also a innocent victim on Forza 4 and its not like the work around on Forza 5 wasnt possible, it was just more difficult.
The biggest issue for myself is the online bit, which Forza 5 was always terrible with the stop start lag issues for the private leagues, the increase to 24 must surely mean they have attempted to address the situation in public lobbies, but private is still a question mark.
I personally loved Forza 5, yes it was bad on day one, but you did see the work in progress continuing to a certain point, so if Forza 6 is just Forza 5 but with some extra time to add the smaller details i will be one happy punter, but i get more out of the painting than the racing these days. If you didnt like Forza 5, i wouldnt be getting over excited, as like Project CARS being the next messiah before release and well that didnt exactly plan out. The advantage this time around, you have Forza fans like myself that have it already downloaded and ready to go on the 10th, eight days before the official release in the UK, yes my opinion may be biased, i buy every dlc and as i mentioned earlier, loved Forza 5, but traded in Project CARS as it did nothing for me, im a 41 year old talentless assist free racing driver that enjoys the online leagues and painting, but im also very realistic (ive wrote in sports betting media a few years ago, so i know theres no golden goose). The demo will be perfect, as demos sell copies, but no doubt by the 11th / 12th of the month you will have the truth about Forza 6 coming through. Haters will hate, and if its like Forza 5, which i fully expect, it may not be to everyones taste.
I guess everyone is different, but like all things in life, the bigger the anticipation, the harder the drop, if you didnt like Forza 5 though, i wouldnt be expecting any miracles from the new version.

^ I think you'd appreciate my motto for life:
"Expect the worst, then anything less is a pleasant surprise"
Yes, I know that sounds a bit cynical, but its true. If you go in knowing and expecting the potential faults in anything, and some of those faults aren't there, its all the greater.

Re: FM6 General Discussion
My personal expectation is nothing more than "FM5 with more cars"
Because frankly, other than rain/night I haven't seen much else. But I am really excited for the new cars though

Re: FM6 General Discussion
Will FM6 be FM5? Yes of course, but bigger and hopefully much improved. There's been a wealth of info posted already, and it's hard to keep it all straight, but I believe I read that the sharing system will be greatly improved. Since the AH/SF/gifting system is gone forever, we have to work with what we get. There also WILL be a spectate mode now, good news for the media team. With the lobby size being increased to 24 and the introduction of the league racing, I'd like to think they have put some serious time into revamping and improving multi-player.
I knew within a couple of months of the FM5 announcement that I would not like the game, so I never bought it. This time around however, I get more excited with each new reveal. I'm looking forward to the demo to get a peek at what the game has to offer, and hopefully don't regret pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition. I'm pretty sure they said we will get a peek at some multi-player in the demo as well.

That's really good all the cars in the right class... let just hope that FM6 has the storefront from FM4 and all the racing cars are balanced from the start.

Re: FM6 General Discussion
Having played the demo, I can give the safe summary of that regardless, the game is better than Forza 5 by a long shot.
I personally think that tracks and cars aren't lacking. Forza 4 had 27 locations including DLC and Forza 6 has 26 excluding DLC. One track I've not seen for a good while is Sidewinder (Or the test tracks to you Forza 2 nostalgics.) So tracks aren't an issue.
However, something in the game, I believe it may be car classes and how they are separated in terms of D to C and which cars categorise them, is offputting and for some unknown reason, Forza 6, in my opinion, fails to fully recreate the amazing game that was Forza 4. It's not a bad game, not at all but it has nothing you haven't seen before and it lacks that something to make it as good as it was back in 2011.

It doesn´t have a storefront nor gifting.
I tried the demo and I came out a little bit dissapointed. Grip levels are low and I was really dissapointed with night. Meh.

Re: FM6 General Discussion
Don't know if you noticed it as well in the night but, when a car is just a little bit away from you, in front or at your rear, you can't even properly see the rear lights or front lights from a distance. In PC you could even see the car braking all the way at the end of a corner. But Yas Marinas is a circuit with lights everywhere. I think we can only be sure if it looks the same as Le Mans or Sebring where you have certain parts where the track is pitch black.II AntR II wrote:The British 1st wrote:^

that's just great no storefront...gifting....car club so all the things that made FM4 great are not in FM6... and the FM6 demo is better than I though it would be and the cars handle much better than on FM4 not as arcade and the wet weather and night are both good. IF fm6 "sharing system" is the same as FM5 then how can paints and livery sharing works ?

They won't work. Gifting liveries and tunes between team mates for TORA series is so simple and effective in FM4, it was missing in FM5 & will be missing again in FM6.
Auction House I can do without, storefront was a good idea IMHO, gifting (tunes, liveries, photos, replays etc) was / is an important feature for teams; T10 clearly think otherwise.

Did not notice that. What I find incredibly unspiring is the dashboards lights or lack of them. It looks flat.
Night looks like day with a dark sky.
