They won't work. Gifting liveries and tunes between team mates for TORA series is so simple and effective in FM4, it was missing in FM5 & will be missing again in FM6.
Auction House I can do without, storefront was a good idea IMHO, gifting (tunes, liveries, photos, replays etc) was / is an important feature for teams; T10 clearly think otherwise.

100% with you on that mate FM4 storefront was great I think it was the best think about FM4.. but from what I am hearing its sound like FM6 is FM5 with 24 players online and night and rain weather.... or am I wrong ?

I personally enjoyed the demo a lot. I went in thinking the puddles would be visual only, I was very wrong. the lack of gifting is going to be annoying but the game isn't out yet. we will see after release how good or bad it really is

Clubs are not back. I don´t know where you got that information from.

This is what is new in FM6:

- Night
- Rain
- 24 player races
- Mods
- Improved car dealer
- Spectate mode
- Distance Meter
- Improved Leaderboards
- Online league system (which is nothing short of a matchmaking system aimed to gather clean players)

Appart from that, everything else stays the same. No storefront, no auction house, no car clubs, no gifting, no user-created lobbies and I believe the private match options remain the same, which means no points nor restrictions. Tuning is the same and paint search mostly the same.

only got as far as Lime Rock, but its fun to be swinging cars around virtually in my "neck of the woods"

The Forza "auto upgrade" promotes power more than grip, so there's a tiny bit of finesse needed. And most of us in racing leagues who use production cars regularly know power isn't everything.

I'm off the bed, so i'll delve into the demo a bit more tomorrow

To get a clean lap in the Indy car, you need to remove the "mods". Enjoyed the demo but wish you could run more than 1 lap in Rivals. Going to take some practice driving in the rain and trying to avoid the puddles! Way different braking in the rain..... it's like out here on the road, brake earlier and gently.

had a brief go last night and was pretty unimpressed, compared to pcars it feels like an arcade game, very predictable and un-involving - I'll give it another go, but this could be the end of console racing for me unless pcars sorts it's issues out

i downloaded the demo(well enough of a % to play) but i was disappointed with it.the opening race your forced to use noob settings i.e auto box etc and also it doesnt have a hud but its there when you do the qualifying championship which is rather dull and once again t10 have stuck two fingers up to everyone and whats worse is the fact you will have to pay at least 100 pounds just to get all the good stuff rather than just 50 for the standard game.they could made a really good game but chose not to,shame really.

You'll probably find that things like the HUD etc can be changed in the settings, if not in the demo then in the full game. They did something like that with FM5 if you remember.

^ this!! You have to remember there are potentially thousands of people who may try this demo having never played a Forza title before. The demo is therefore aimed at them, not us, the long time players who will likely buy the game anyway.

The opening race crap is in Forza 4 too. I've had to do it some 4 or 5 times now, every time I've had to restart my career due to various reasons ranging from profile ban early on to new upgraded hard drive more recently.

The demo is a 5/10. You are really forced to do all the sh*t races you don't want to... I loved Forza 4, because it was the best game on Xbox 360. Project Cars is way better than Forza on Xbox One in terms of physics and race feeling. Forza 6 feels too sterile you don't get this feeling for speed. Project Cars is just thrilling it gives you this feeling of a real race weekend. You have Practice sessions, Qualifying and even Warm-Up, the tuning is more detailed and the cars feel pretty good. You get a nice feel for them unlike in Forza 6 where the cars I've driven feel boring. The indy cars are okay and I think the proper race cars feel better but I'm not impressed by the overall package. I don't feel the tracks, the bumps and you don't get really penalized for cutting the corners or going off the tracks. Just the annoying puddles where you lose traction immediatly. Not only that content is missing (SF, Auction house etc.) rain effects suck and it's just... another Forza. The graphics are neat but that's it. If Project Cars would have all the licences Micro$oft has got, it would be perfect. I have my money with Project Cars, a game based on crowd founding with maybe a few bugs. The game will develop just like Battlefield 4 did.

I'm not sure with the purchase but just to race with you guys I have to buy it pale

Anyone try out "The Brickyard" IndyCar Challenge? in my few attempts, i found the Velcro-Grass & Super-Sticky pavement on the inside of the corners are gone, and we can use the normal pit-exit lane finally! cheers

Lots of "meh" and negativity here... did anyone besides me find the demo to be an absolute joy? Don't get me wrong, I miss some of the great features from FM4 as well, but those days are past. I'm more excited for the potential that FM6 has than what it lacks.

I thought the intro race series was a bit of a slog, but I liked the look of those signature events categories and i'm sure you have a little more freedom over your career once you get through the qualifiers.

The driving was good. Better than FM5 by a mile (especially for wheel users). Not quite as realistic as pcars, but I will certainly take what I can get if it comes with the stability, reliability, and community that FM brings. The cars felt heavier, more planted at low to medium speeds. They still don't feel right to me if things break loose at high speeds, but i did have a proper rollover occur in the Ford GT at Rio hotlap event where I spun and clipped a curb and it up-ended the car. Wish they had replays in the demo because I'd have liked to see it from outside to know if it looked as realistic as it felt. Not expecting that we'll see a *huge* improvement in physics but every little bit helps.

I'm a little turned off by the idea of mods, but at least that is only in career mode. I'll exploit them for more $$$ I suppose. Worst case, like the tokens system, i just won't use them.

Night racing didn't do a whole lot for me at Yas Marina, but i think that's because it's a fully lit track. I definitely didn't feel the lack of grip that the announcer touted. I'll reserve judgement for the full game...

Rain, however, was a significant change to the experience. I think they went over-the-top with the amount of rain and standing water on the track... maybe they can dial that back a bit in an update if they get enough feedback about it? wishful thinking, i know. still, it's definitely a game-changer in all senses of the phrase. I can see myself trying cars i wouldn't normally try and driving tracks in a new way.

Overall, it seems to be that tried-and-true FM experience I was hoping for with plenty of improvements over FM5. We may never see the salad days of clubs and the storefront again, but at least we still have the bones of something good here to work with.
