Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
I hadn't done a full fuel or tire run yet. No idea how long either will last me.
Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
I was having tire trouble too. 5 laps and my front right was at almost 20% wear.

I have been able to go anywhere between 6 - 9 laps before needing to pit, based on driving aggression

Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
I apologize.
I rage quit in lobby two last night around lap 5 in a flurry of profanity. It was unsportsman and unacceptable. A second racing incident, this one with significant damage, took me out of any kind of contention. I had high hopes for this race and my emotions got the better of me. I'm sorry to the people I offended.

Apology accepted, Bud!
Been in your shoes before and did the same thing...rage quit (excluding profanity). Unfortunately, rage quitting really cost me in the series I was in.
If there is a"next time" (and there probably will be, unfortunately), I encourage you to stick with it to see where you will end up.

Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
The long sweepers will have that effect on cars. With the new physics here, we will need to find a way to loosen up the cars at mid corner to balance this out. Brake bias helps tooMrShannon2U wrote:I was having tire trouble too. 5 laps and my front right was at almost 20% wear.

Strongly disagree with that. The yellow line is pit out for full course and should have no impact on East circuit.

There are 2 yellow lines, I was referring to the inside yellow line nearest the wall not the one on the race track. Sorry for the confusion.

Either way, the first corner here is a confusing mess. Did I get it right?

Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
I didn't ragequit, even though I plowed into someone parked in the middle of a corner. I've never been booted from a lobby in the middle of a race, but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Issue after issue. Trust me, you're not the only one unhappy with the delays.
There are things I want to clear up, starting from waiting on people to qualify, and late arrivals showing up mid qually session.
TBH, I am unsure the 25 minute Q session is working for the US time, and I'll again lobby for a major reduction. I'd be happy if it were two or three laps, one flyer, just to speed things up.
Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
One thing that needs to be cleared up is comms etiquette. That was a tight track. There was bound to be incidents. In B lobby the complaining and name calling started in turn one race one. We have race stewards for a reason. If you have a problem with another competitor, file an SI. The chatter back and forth on the comms lead to everyone being a bit touchy, and escalated the aggresive driving.

I think contact is to be expected on such a tight track with no runoff. C Lobby had messy driving, but everyone handled it pretty well, I think.

5PM Pacific is not an option. Most people punch out of the timeclock at 5.
Re: Touring Masters US General Discussion
I must be a touch sadistic as i enjoyed the racing in Lobby Two, even if i was facing the wrong direction on the last lap out of the last corner, not once but twice, both of which were racing incidents and the joys of racing in a boat. I will admit, i had the lobby chat almost on mute for the first two races, like i always do when im racing as i need to concentrate and Long Beach always provokes a reaction, no matter which site you are racing on.
For me, i always enjoy the challenge of Long Beach and tonight was exactly that as people were caught out, especially at Turn Two which is tight at the best of times and perhaps a chopped nose with trying to overtake there is to be expected, i know i was defending the line in that corner, but had the advantage of the Holden pulling a wee gap down the straight bits. But all three races providing a battle or two for myself, reacting to others misfortunes and with the safety cars, i thought is was enjoyable.
I guess i should continue the entertainment by nailing my cobblers to the table, OKLAHOMA!!!!
