Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
Nevermind, I will not be running this after all, seeing as some cars cannot be bought in the auction house, IE the 2 that were in the specialty shop I cannot buy in the auction house as there is no way to search for it as it is not listed as a viable car in the auction house and the fact that TCS and ABS are forced off. I can run as fast as anyone not using ABS with mine on regardless of what others have commented. I refuse to run without ABS so guess I will find my racing elsewhere. I thought it would be nice to get back into organized racing but I see things have changed and I have no interest in racing with people who think they can tell others what assists they should or should not be using and that they will ruin faster if they do whatever they insist is the only way to race. Save it for the kids, I am no kid, I will not be told what assist I should or should not be using and I don't need the crap in my life. Have fun with your series and people like Chief Tokenbowl should keep his opinions to themselves. Tomcat is no kid either and doesn't need to be admonished over his use of ABS!
Also regardless of what has been said here as well over tinted windows, I have run with tinted windows always, even when I raced here before and it never was an issue with ghosting and I have experimented with 7 and it has no issue ghosting my tint either.
So, no tint, no TCS and no ABS means no Midnite Rider, sorry Mikey.

Calm down there, I wasn't trying to admonish anyone, just trying to help out. When I first started running off this site, I almost dropped out because they don't allow assists, but I decided to drop the training wheels and got a lot faster as a result. I'm not the fastest around but I've been asking questions of the faster guys and getting better, just trying to pass on some of what I have learned. Not trying to talk down to anyone.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
I am calm, I don't have the issue, I always quietly laugh at people like you but decided not to keep quiet this time. I, personally have been on Xbox Live 15 years and been playing Forza since the 1st version, I, without using clutch, using TCS & ABS beat the majority of the people I race. This is not a Nascar event, I don't run without assists unless it is Nascar (again this is my personal preference and don't really care what anyone else thinks about it). Just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for others and he was not asking for advice. So basically unless someone is asking for your help you should keep your opinions to yourself, this applies in real life as well. Maybe you should take a look at yourself and rethink the way you do things.

There's no way to build the 16 Civic (or is it a 15?) to the required specs! At least I haven't found a build that does.Flyin Mikey J wrote:When you buy the 2016 Honda, buy it homologated, as that way it comes with the restrictor and a few extra bits for no extra charge.

It allows for very few upgrades but does require the "hololgation restrictor" to fit the HP rules.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
As for the lack of assists, this is exactly the way TCC has been run since its inception. Sorry if it keeps anyone from racing in this series, but to say that anything has changed over time, sorry that is not the case at all. Not sure where anyone had thought otherwise.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
I am thinking of nixing the 07 Civic. Not because it is any better than other cars as much as because everyone thinks it is.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
Just toss it out so we get more variety in cars. Otherwise 50% will be civics

Did not mean to imply it had changed in any way, shape or form Mikey. Sorry for the confusion there.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
Would anyone be interested in doing an open practice lobby of 6-10 laps per circuit this week?
Thinking 8 or 9 PM EDT Weds and/or 8 PM GMT Thurs.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
fit the restrictor heavy rims and sport arb should get you to 281hp with 2713 weight

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
Not actually very late, but I was indeed very tired. Anyways, we'll be using that PI for the UK test and evaluate.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
I ran the Honda 2007 civic with your new PI585 Tune and got a best lap of 52.6.
That is 5 tenths slower than my PI600 best of 52.1
So now I will decide if I'm going to try other cars or maybe some one else will come up with a new tune.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
That 5 tenths off is actually about right on the money, as it was 4-6 tenths better than the next best car for most people. Hence the need to ding it a few PI.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Discussion
I've been having a little play around tonight with something. Couple of builds and a quick tune but I'm not sure if it's my familiarity with the game growing or just the number of laps in this car but I've slowly worked my way down to a low 51. Far from consistent and definitely room for improvement but as Brands is one of my local tracks then it could be the perfect place to jump back in to racing.
