Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
1.3h - Drivers within a team need not race in the same car, however, article 1.3h still applies.

i know this might not work for you guys 'accross the pond' as its 8pm or later for you while its 3pm for me, but i was just thinking for the finale at Nurburg, perhaps have it set as a 2hr race? i thouroughly enjoy that place. just a thought.

2 hours of the ring... hell no! I extremely doubt that race will even be close. The field is going to be so spread out, i think its going to be a boring race IMO

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
After an extensive test this morning, I have found that the P1 class will complete 73 racing laps in WELL under the 1h 30.
So in order for the A lobby GT1 competitors to have no disadvantage, the race length for Petit Le Mans will be reduced to 1h 15.00.

You could just make the laps 100 for A lobby instead?

Bad news for our strategy. Top marks to whoever spotted it though.

I don't know whether I will or not, but would I get a penalty if I changed my gt1 class car or not??

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
I think the only fair way to do this would be to say the race after you change cars you only get half points. that way there is a penalty for changing but not opressiveDAN ATR1 wrote:

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
it has been brought to my attention that some drivers have already changed car without any notification from me. as such i have 2 options either penalise them equally after the event which would be unfair or make a ruling that will apply to everyone until the next season.
Cars may be changed one during the season without penalty. Anyone who has been forced to change due to the removal of gt4s will still be allowed one change

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
I don't know what to do know cause I've had another idea if it is allowed.
I don't know whether to stay in the gt1 class with a different car or to enter the lmp1 class with the Gulf Audi R8 now that nicky isn't racing it. But I would run it still under the Gulf Austins THR Racing banner.

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Hypothetical question.
If I were to enter for a one-off race, would it be permissable to use my BMW M3 E92 I have just tuned to GT3 level? It doesn't have aero, but it is grip-tuned mechanically and doesn't let go very easily. I would happily not score points, say like an invitation class entry.

3.4 GT3 Car Build
3.4a - Cars must be no higher than PI S900
3.4b - Drivetrain must be RWD
3.4c - All Forza aero parts to be used where applicable.
3.4d - Tyre Compound must be RACE.
Very varied options allowed but im afraid aero is in there

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Perhaps a suggestion for next year, but have like a spec class. i got the idea from ck's post, i was orignally having a couple other people run his car as like a GT challenge class. just throwing that out for next year
Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
well if there is enough people wish to race wist a spec car we will certainly run a challenge lobby, 5 people minimum ck get hunting

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
Yeah, that's not what I mean Culchi.
The M3 E92 doesn't have forza aero available to it so it is not applicable as per the rule.
The reason I am asking is because the car is not on the list of GT3 cars. What I can do is send you the car to try for homologation purposes to show that it is not dangerous to other competitors or uncontrollable. I recognise that the car is not eligible for competition, so what I mean is can I compete with it but not score towards driver or teams championships due to the car's non-legal standing?

Re: Rulebook Clarification and FAQ
If chaddy and chucky, (or at least 2 others) PROMISE to turn up, I see no reason why we cant open up GT4 for Luguna...
That car is legal in GT4 at S880.
