Re: Regulation Clarification
That would be better, we can't have our members being forced to run those ridiculous wheels
Re: Regulation Clarification
How can the Honda be built to 850. I am interested to see. Can the red one be built different to the green one???

Re: Regulation Clarification
Nightrider's shown at the wrong PI at the moment anyway on the entry list....just so you know.
The "issue" with the Furai was raised by myself and Chillz at least six weeks ago, and has been mentioned by us on numerous occasions since, so I have to say I'm a little disappointed that this could not have been addressed in a more timely and diplomatic way.
To the Skunk Works guys I would say this; yes it is extremely frustrating that your car has been changed so near to the start of the championship, however, you're not the only people in this situation, and everybody is made aware from the outset, that the car you apply for may not necessarily be the one you are accepted to race in, so it is a little rash to say that you've put in heavy testing and can't live without running that particular car (running at a different PI is effectively like running a different car, although your handling setups shouldn't be vastly different I'd have thought) when you weren't guaranteed to be using it anyway.
I think that the entry list should have been (and should be for all series) released further in advance, to allow a longer testing and painting window post-announcement. It is because of the "no guarantee" thing that I have not yet painted some of the cars I've entered, but that definitely leaves time short to do something pro and pukka looking. Especially when real life is limiting game time.

Re: Regulation Clarification
I have my new car sorted. If I have already been entered in a team, with a car we did not choose, can I leave the team and enter as a privateer, as the season hasn't begun??? Just asking, just in case Aero isn't on board with my car choice. Thanks.

Re: Regulation Clarification
Also, will the championship still go ahead, if there is only one team entering it. Because if Skunk Works pulls out and I go to a privateer, then only Momo team will remain.

Re: Regulation Clarification
can i just get the koeingsegg instead and get this change done before the first round as my pi was changed drastically and i was not notified until today
Re: Regulation Clarification
@Chillz - Yes you can as long as you are happy to do that. Just re-apply through site with your new car choice and enter as a privateer. Remember, up until the first race your team and car choice are not final, you can still change them if you want. And also the Mosler and Radical seats have been filled. I cannot give an answer about wether or not the championship will go ahead, but there are still people signed up to race albeit as privateers. There is still a drivers championship to contest afterall.
@Nightrider - Of course, just re-apply to change your car to whatever one you wish, bearing in mind that the Mosler seats are full.

Re: Regulation Clarification
yep i put myself down for the koenigsegg, i put the moesler as the second choice by accident, in my haste i forget they were taken, i just wanted my ccgt
Re: Regulation Clarification
For all those having worries about the rules changing underneath them....
My TRC Rally car was Banned 8 HOURS before Round 1 and i went on to win the Championship in the car i built tuned and painted that day....
So dont feel too down

Re: Regulation Clarification
I dont mind, i just wish we would have better communication, aj couldve skyped me, sent me an XBL message, told me in a party chat, sent me a pm an so on, i didint get anything, i only found out from the entry list
Re: Regulation Clarification
We are very sorry about the lack of communication about this. This is something we are trying to resolve, but please there is a large team for 10 people who are working within TORA on both the Staff and the Community Team. Please do not put all the blame on AJ.
Re: Regulation Clarification
I have submitted a privateer entry form now, but as you said Richy, when Aero comes back from abroad, we may team up again in my new car choice. I hope this is ok. I have submitted mine now, to be sure of getting my new car choice.

Re: Regulation Clarification
Like I said after the first race you become locked into your team and car and once it is under way then the rules about changing cars and teams are enforced. I am unsure as to what will happen if you join teams during a season if you are both privateers. I'll get clarification on that.
Re: Regulation Clarification
sorry to make it look like i was blaming just aj, im friends with most of the staff on fb and skype, pming is an option too. but whatever, whats done is done and im glad youre trying to fix it, no hard feelings from meRichy59 wrote:We are very sorry about the lack of communication about this. Re: Regulation Clarification
Don't worry about it Nightrider, I wasn't putting that at you it was more of a general statement. Sorry if I made it sound like that.
Re: Regulation Clarification
Just a comment for all of the series across the board.
It is TORA's site, and their governing body makes the rules. If you aren't happy with this, leave. That is the impression I have felt over the last year or so.
That having been said, why don't you guys get your act together. You guys have a great thing here, and lately it is falling apart at the seems. I am not sure what "it" was that caused this, but all of the recent championships have had late rule changes, poor initial testing, and an overall impression of unfinished all around. The number of active drivers has sunk significantly.
I still love you guys, but you make it hard for me to comit to anything anymore because the "fun factor" just isn't there. I know that there are about 5 guys active here that could test all of the cars for any series, come up with a very large field of data to compare, and probably adjust the cars to within a tenth of each other for any of the current and or upcoming series. There really seems to be the wrong people doing the things going wrong.
This post will probably get deleted, but I tried voicing my opinions, both the right way, and now this way.
See you on the track.

Re: Regulation Clarification
Don't worry Gashi it won't get deleted, because in many respects you are right. Yes, we have let the ball slip over the first half of the year. We had a full meeting combining the Staff and Community team and everything we talked about and made agreements upon to improve are pretty much exactly what you have stated.
Of course, like you said, if there are rules and regs you don't agree upon then we are not forcing you guys to race in a championship you don't like. There is about to be a race night on every night so you have plently of choice to find a championship you like. What happened last night with regards to the PI drop was a major mis-communication from us to you. Late decisions are not a good thing but what we don't want is to change PIs on cars after the season has started. Doesn't that annoy people even more?
We are working on making things better because we want to make things better. Things will hopefully change over the next few months.
As for our testing data we do put in extensive testing on the cars. I know you say the wrong people do it, but if 1 person owns every single car on the lists and tests them all around a variety of tracks then isn't that a fair way of guaging how cars work? But to be honest we never thought that people would be that into this SuperGT. This series was supposed to be a bit of fun that runs along side our main championships. I didn't think a PI change, albeit quite late, would make that much of a fuss.

Re: Regulation Clarification
In order to pass scrutineering this evening all cars must comply with the following;
- Display the official number box on both sides of the car and the bonnet, and a window banner.
- The number box must be unaltered.
- The number(s) must be in white.
- The number(s) must be centred.
- The number(s) must be 24% scale for teams.
- The number(s) must be 17% scale for privateers.
- There should be no skew or any other alteration to the number(s).

Re: Regulation Clarification
The skew on the numbers should be the same as the box. This should simplify matters and allow for three digit numbers to fit better without significant reduction in size.
