Harry Hill:
"I like the Plato family, but I also like the Neal family. But which one is better? There's only one way to find out! FIGHT!".
Plato was very unsporting in blocking peoples qualifying laps. I'm surprised there's no penalty. But lets hope the racing is less controversial this time unlike Knockhill. Infact if I can remember, it was just race 3 that had controversy.

Re: BTCC 2011
You never know. Thorney are building Insignia's too, but that doesn't count the Insignia out for Triple Eight.
What about the new Astra? Its actually quite big.
And who's to say that they couldn't use a VXR8 shell!

Complete Joke, Plato throws his toys out the Pram, Glow agress and gives turbos a further air restrictor, x2 Civics have 2 run a agressive set up get punctures hmmmmm I smell NSACAR style bull all over this series now.
Roll on 2012 DTM
And please can some 1 take Plato out

Re: BTCC 2011
Well done TOCA, you've definitely rendered this championship a waste of time.
The 2011 title is dead to me, how can we know for sure if the winner of a race or championship actually deserved it?
The title will be decided on TOCA's stance towards Turbo boost at Silverstone.

Re: BTCC 2011
Just watched race one, recorded today while I was at work. Was gutted when Shedden spun at Graham Hill, but jumped out my chair cheering when Neal punctured. But then there was that constant sense of dread that if it happened to Neal, it could happen to Shedden, and sure enough it did.
However, in fairness, when the parity was the other way round, it was Plato being forced to run an aggressive set-up with too much camber and puncturing at Thruxton. What goes around has come around.
Went to fast-forward to the 2nd race and my recording finished! AAAARGH!!!! Some BT Vision PVRs have a fault where they don't fully record programs with them stopping at random points during the broadcast, and mine has clearly decided to develop that fault. Raging!
So I have only seen the results from the 2nd and 3rd races. Good to see Honda clawed their way back into it, and although I'd prefer it to be Shedden five points ahead of Neal, at least the championship is still there to be won.
I can't see TOCA making any change for Silverstone. It's really just three big straights, and the NA cars will get slaughtered on them if the restrictions are reversed. I'd not like to be in Alan Gows shoes just now...

Re: BTCC 2011
Very nice. It'll be interesting to see how the Insignia will perform.
I was just thinking watching the Porsche Carrera Cup race last week. The whining from the transmission just reminded me of the BMW 320i from the mid 90's. But obviously, the Porsche's is dead quiet compared to the BMW's. lol

Re: BTCC 2011
Wondering why it has that livery? The new Batman film isn't out until next year, so I can't see it being that. I can only assume they don't want to run with their full sponsors package as it probably hasn't been confirmed, and they don't want to carry sponsorship and then perform badly in what is essentially a test session for them.
So I guess the fact it looks mean in black and could almost pass for a batmobile inspired them to stick some Batman logos on there.
It does look bad-ass though, good work Thorney!
