I'm suprised the problem with the Civic wasn't noticed last season! If it wasn't for a number of top teams not using the Civic last season it would have become a lot more apparent that it had a significant grip advantage and i bet it wouldn't have been on this seasons car list!

Even when I've been behind Dan in the Golf, he hasn't been pulling away, even in the corners. Its brilliant when its in the hands of Dan on a flying lap, but its no better than any of the other cars, as it has some really big weaknesses in a straight line already.

Re: TCC Meeting 4 Discussion Thread - Sunset Club Reverse - 27/09/11
The reason the Civic has had this penalty applied is due to the OVERALL performance of the car, and the fact that regardless of whoever's hands it is in, it outperforms when benchmarked against the rest of the car list.
Yes, Sunset is traditionally a power track, so the Civic was always going to struggle for outright pace here, but on every track it's the corners time is made up in, and clearly the Civic has an unbalanced advantage in that respect. To clarify, this decision has been made not on Dan's performances, or indeed any of the ATR team's laptimes, but on extensive further testing conducted by TORA staff.
If ATR wish to change their car to their second choice for the remaining two rounds, they may do so without penalty, or they can choose to run the penalised Civic.

Re: TCC Meeting 4 Discussion Thread - Sunset Club Reverse - 27/09/11
There's no point trying to argue against the decision. No matter who tries to place there point across. It looks like we will be swapping cars at this very race actually But myself, GTR and silentalarm42 will need to run another team test before we decide for defernate.
Besides, it was really nice to be informed on the situation as well. Not! Last time I spoke to Scot, he said I would be the first person to know if anything was to change. But instead, I heard nothing. Only when he decided to announce the decision on this thread last night was when I knew about this.

Eh - wrong! I never said that. Don't start making stuff up Dan. Besides, I posted that I would announce a decision in this thread two days ago.

Thats what you said to me after the qualifying session @ Iberian. You said I would be the first person to know if anything was to change! Nevermind, lets just move on.
This circuit defernately requires top speed, so I reckon the race will be between Storm Dynamics and Motorbase. Judging by testing the other night, that Ford is epic around Sunset.

Thanks to Chad teaching me the benefits of clutch, I achieved a 1:04.7 but that was a perfect lap, I can get consistent 1:05.1-4s though

Hitting high 04s. And 150mph is a dream.

I wouldn't mind running a few laps too. I'll be busy between 8:15 and 9:15 but the hours before and after i'm free.

Good to see you back, Jamie. If no-one can sort you out with a drive, I've plenty of cars you can run solo.
