Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
I can't get the Chevrolet Camaro SS to it's maximum PI, which is 700. I'm now stuck on 690. I have all handling upgrades and I tried to make it as light as possible. It also has 599hp, the maximum allowed in Group A.
Am I doing something wrong? Or should it be in Group B?

You won't be able to get all cars to their "ceiling" PI limit. That is all the 700/690/680 is - a limit, not a required target.
Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
Then why are you setting it's limit to 700 if you can't even get there? Then you should make the limit 690, instead of 700.

It wasn't me who set the limit, however I believe it's possible to get over 690 on the Camaro, though having built all of the cars up in the last couple of days, they've kinda all blurred together in my memory.
Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
I apologise Koenigsegg, my testing showed the PI to limit at around that mark, but it's not the quickest car. So I left the door open that if anyone could work some magic and reach 700pi, then maybe it'll be well up there. If its a physical impossibility, same with others such as the Morgan, then I will state its limit to be whatever the highest PI can be achieved.
Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
Remember, 700 isn't the exact PI it has to be, 700 is just to show that it is within the group of cars that are at 700.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
It can only get higher now with more power.
Already installed the lightest rims and hood and all other parts. I can make the car lighter with engine upgrades. But then it's not 690 or higher or it has too much power.
I'll try to see what I can do.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
I tried if I can get the PI higher. But I can't. I do have more torque now, added the Single or Twin (can't remember) Turbocharger. Weight is a little higher because of that.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
I am running the Z4 and can get all the stats maxed out at 700 pi with the twin turbo. I have learned that the car is a little quicker and easier to run if I keep it naturally aspirated. The HP and weight are still maxed out but the PI is like 695 now and cant get it higher without going under the weight limit or over the hp limit.
With the way you drive koenig, I don't think the small lack in PI will hurt you too much.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
Just out of curiosity, why are these cars not allowed?
Audi TT-RS (there's a GT4 version, will go racing in 2012)
BMW M3
Lamborghini Murciélago
Nissan 370Z
And look what I found.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
Hey dude,
When testing we found out these cars -
Audi TT-RS (there's a GT4 version, will go racing in 2012)
BMW M3
Lamborghini Murciélago
Nissan 370Z
Did not fit (to quick etc)
However for the official 2012 series next year we could look at them once more after the GT24 series has finished.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
Hi, sorry I'm late.
Hokay, so...
I really REALLY wanted to get the TT-RS in there, but couldn't get the PI high enough! Silly I know, but that car is really slow. Its a shame.
BMW M3 was replaced with the BMW M6, as per real life GT3 type series. The Muricelago was too quick in a straight line, yet terrible on corners and braking, so it may have caused collisions. I'll revisit the 370Z though. That was a bit quick too, but PI pegging may fit it in.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
I'll add you and send them over.
EDIT
I already have you on XBL, but the servers are down at the moment so I'll send them later.
We don't have a spotters guide for this.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
I just build an Audi TT-RS for Group A, S700. Did 5 laps with it on Hockenheim and did a 1:46.2xx with a nearly stock tune. Car is hard to drive, but not undriveable. A good tune will probably make it much more stable.
Another question:
Can I change cars every week? Because I like to drive the others to. Especially the ones that no one else drives, M6, Morgan and Maserati for example. That way you can also see if the cars are competitive.

Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
Race suspension is mandatory, race brakes optional so long as your car fits into the power and weight regs.
Re: TORA GT24 - Rules and Regulations
alright, last question
is there some kind of mandatory paint job we need?
