the Spa 24 hours wont be in it because GTR1 and 2 were liscenced with the FIA GT Championship. RACE and GTR Evo are not. RACE Pro is a port of GTR Evoloution - an expasion pack for RACE 07. Spa Francorcamps will, however be a DLC track

I really don't see the point in any game having a full 24 hours racing mode, mainly because it is crazy racing on your own for 24 hours.

I too, doubt they will but I owned both those games and can say in all honesty they were the BESTsims I have EVER played. If Race Pro ends up like these then we should all be VERY very happy!

The people who made the GTR games are not at Simbin anymore, they split and made Blimey Games, which have been working on a misterious Ferrari project for the XBOX 360 for about a year now, theres even screenshots on their website

I can see myself doing a mix of screen shot updates from Race Pro, mainly because Race Pro has a replay option.

But some perplexing decisions make it hard for mere mortals to master. The medium setting becomes pretty easy after a short while, but he hard setting requires you to turn off all the assists-which means you'll barely be able to drive in a straight line unless your last name is Andretti. Since the difficulty levels don't let you tweak the opponent AI skill in the career mode, most players will be stuck 17+ seconds in Semi Pro, or screaming in frustration at their inability to stop spinning out every 10 feet in Pro.

Actually, most run of the mill race fans who try this game probably won't stay long before returning to Forza or Grid. The 12 player Live races might grab you a night or two, and you should try the oddball co-op mode that lets two players take turns driving one car in a race just so you can marvel at how weird it is. But Race Pro is really aimed at the hearts of a rare few, and you know who you are.

I think single player will be boring....but who cares!

If its realistic, then multiplayer is where i will be anyway. The only people who would care about rubbish ai are the ones who have no friends to play with...

TBH I NVER take much stock in a game raview I dont think Ive once bought a game based on one.
I buy them coz I like it. And the devotees of 'sim-like racer' WILL get RP for the same reasons they bought Forza...onlineracing and realsm.

More casual gamers hav NFS and to an extent GRID to shut them up.

and to keep em from puntin actual racers off the track at every corner

I'm going go to say it now.... Forza 3 will be miles better than RACE PRO!

For one thing it is being made FOR the 360, not just a lifeless PC port.

I'm still buying it though LOL.

The vids are looking pretty good IMO.
Could do with some more of the damage modelling but if 'realism' is the theme then it shold be pretty darned impressive

RACE Pro WILL be realistic. We are talking Simbin here. GTR, GTL, GTR2, RACE, RACE 07, STCC, GTR Evo; every single one of their sims, as i prefer to call them over games because they are not, is world renowned for their super realistic handling and physics. Simbin put sooooo much effort into their sims, and im sure we will see this in RACE Pro.
