Re: BTCC 2012
Wasn't too bad getting out of the track for me. We moved the car down to the hairpin before the last BTCC race started, moved somewhere were we probably shouldn't have been parking. Essentially skipped the queue. Got out in five minutes.
The organisation in the morning definitely could have been better, but I do recognise that getting everyone parked is a mammoth job, and the infrastructure for parking at Knockhill isn't the best.

wow sums up my thoughts on plato perfect ! will bring it up with some race teams at brit car see what they think
Re: BTCC 2012
Interesting comments from Dave. Never backwards in coming forwards. But he does ignore some of the driving of Mat Jackson who hasn't always been the cleanest driver out there either.
I'd be pointing out the driving quality of Rob Collard too who's not exactly clean. Seen him ruin a good few people's races this year alone.

Yeah, that was pretty crass, but he's a [Censored], so it's to be expected.
Great win for Mat Jackson, and brilliant for Shedden's championship that Neal and Plato retired, especially with the Honda's being underpowered here.

Re: BTCC 2012
Final meeting of the year this weekend, round the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Although Matt Neal is still in contention, he needs both Jason Plato and Gordon Shedden to fall off in every race, and that's unlikely. Shedden leads Plato by just 15 points going into the weekend, and with 67 points on offer it's going to be close.
The MG/Plato combination should be strong round Brands Hatch GP - remember Plato's 2009 feat of winning all three races in a day? Still only two drivers to have accomplished that. After the [sandbagging] lack of pace from the Hondas round Silverstone, we should see them recieving a boost increase, so hopefully we'll see a fair fight.
My heart says Shedden, my head says Plato.

look through that thread you will see Mr Plato posting about boost variances.
And some of the reaction by "BTCC fans" lol
Head and Heart say flash I have told Chris to cheer when Neal punts plato off on Sunday

Re: BTCC 2012
I don't think Shedden will win the title! He really struggles with the 45kg's of ballast on board, has done all season so for Shedden to win it'll depend on how well he qualifies. If he qualifies well and survives the first race he'll win the title, if not then this is prime Plato territory and he always seems to excel at this time of the season

Re: BTCC 2012
I read that even though he has 27 BTCC wins, Shedden has never won at Brands Hatch (on either GP or Indy circuit)

He has 29 wins, and no, he hasn't won at Brands Hatch, but he has been on the podium numerous times, so a step up can't be that far away.
I really, really want Shedden to win it, I am a massive Flash fan as many long-timers know, but my gut instinct is that Jason has the upper hand. The MG is fast, and he's on top form. Flash, on his day, is the quickest driver on the grid, he's won the BRDC Silver Star in 2010, and currently leads the table for it this year too. I just get the feeling he doesn't have that hunger that's going to get him over the final hurdle, but Plato knows exactly what to do to win it, he's been in contention for the title every year since 2004, IIRC.
Still, I'll be cheering on Flash.

Re: BTCC 2012
Neal will have Plato off It'll be interesting to see if other drivers will help such as Jordan. The car to beat just now is the Focus. All that top end with very good grip and also Brands is a BMW track, gone very well there in the past.

Re: BTCC 2012
Well I knew you'd be happy about that. I am too. Flash is probably the most deserving champion after the luck he's had in recent years.
Spot on Matt for letting him by early on to go and attack Aron and Tom.
Can't believe Andy Neate AGAIN! I don't care what excuses he has, you just don't return to the circuit in that manner. He caused three cars to have big accidents and no doubt he will be blaming everyone except himself on Twitter...again.
If I were Jason I;d be demanding a stronger team mate. He's carried that team single handed while Andy has just fluffed every single weekend.
