Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I remember when you had to pick your point scoring drivers for the races, that was crazy as you could mistake and 1 you didnt put down to scoring would out do the 2 you did put to score.
I like this system now
I like this system now
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I remember that system Chucky, a certain someone thought themself and Pebb should score for the team at Sebring, Only for them 2 to race in lobby C and I was in lobby A

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Can we please stop having these rolling starts for race one. I really do not see the point of them anymore, as it is very clear that the standard static starts works great for race two.
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
It was bought in so we didnt have to keep resetting lobbies. As in get everyone in, set it to 1 lap cross the line in the strating order. Then strat race one in lobby points order. Then reset lobby do a 1 lap race to set the grid then do the race. This involed strating the race 4 times and backing out 1 with the way Forza is with failing to start it was changed to get everoyone in start the first race with a rolling to set the grid, then the second race was in order and just had the race start in lobby points desending order. Requiring 2 race starts and no backing out.
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Chucky - that was prior to the title update, has there been any starting issues since? I've not seen a clean rolling start yet, either the poll sitter races away, some drivers don't hear the go, or people end up damaged.
Just seems very messy.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
This has been the second TCC event since the title update, I had a lobby breakdown on me last night and had to invite everyone back in. I feel the standing starts will work now and maybe the people in red will change the ruling for the next meeting. I myself hate rolling starts thats why I suggested the standing start for the second race when it was put down as both rolling starts
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Will ask Scot and Richy to have a look to remove rolling strts just dont complain when there is a huge crash lol
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
We never moan on race 2 starts when all the slower cars are infront
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
You have to remember that the WTCC use the system that we're using just now.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I like the system that we're using now to be honest, makes the whole night run a whole lot smoother as well for the lobby hosts. Plus some cars are better at a rolling start and some are better from a standing start i say leave it how it is!

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Question: how many people got gunned past on the rolling start because the guys behind are flooring it before the lead guy says start, it has happened every time in A lobby, and these are the good drivers. Real life starts on the lights, ask your self why

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Well if people are doing that then they should be penalised for a jump start, could the rolling start be time based set for a certain time at each track so everyone at Sedona for example would be on the start/finish straight at 1 minute 50 maybe then everyone would floor it??

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
You would still be relying on people to adhere to the rule. I lost around 4 spots because I didn't gun it till the countdown ended but I'm not going to put in an SI because it would just ruin it with no result being the final result.

At Motegi I was the pole sitter, I waited until everyone was on the start/finish, even did a 3..2..1 countdown, and was a good second clear by the first corner, rest of the race was a cakewalk, and its rare I can say that, last one, only half the field seemed to hear the go, forst half of the field shot off (this is after a restart due to shunts on the rolling start) the rest of the field got left for dead as they didnt know if the go had gone, so to speak.
I like the concept of rolling starts, and they can work well, but for me, the standing start off the lights is the fairest way to get things going, provided the lobbies remain stable.
