Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
In my opinion the third drivers points should score ...
I mean it in that there is not a cats chance in hell that I will win any championship, but I do like to think I am contributing to the team as a whole .. else there is just no point having a third driver, of course this is still my opinion.
I could have dropped out after qualifying and watched some TV or opened the bottle of vodka knowing that my team mates had already done the hard part
Respect, Goldie...

I'd never thought about it that way, so thanks, and I totally understand. One of the reasons in the past at least, was so that 3-driver teams and 2-driver teams could compete. If all drivers in the team are now scoring, then the 3-driver teams obviously have a big advantage.
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Not necessarily Chris ...
a 2 man team could have 2 very fast drivers whilst a 3 man team might have 3 average drivers which would balance it out somewhat (team wise) .. mind you, there are 3 man teams in this championship that have 3 fast drivers which again give them the advantage, very much like in real life racing teams ...
I'm not trying to stir any trouble, just thinking outside the box, so to speak

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Don't worry, not taking it as stirring, I appreciate the alternate point of view. As I said, I hadn't really considered the "no need to race then" POV.

I know my points are never going to count towards the team score as I am awful compared to my fellow compadres. But the thought of clean racing with people of the same standard as me (which the qualifying sorts out) is excellent and I thoroughly enjoy myself. I can’t wait till Infineon.
Maybe one day my points will count. LOL
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
IMO, if a team is faster than the rest, they deserve to win. That's the goal as a team, anyway... To be the fastest.NoGoldie wrote:a 2 man team could have 2 very fast drivers whilst a 3 man team might have 3 average drivers which would balance it out somewhat (team wise) .. mind you, there are 3 man teams in this championship that have 3 fast drivers which again give them the advantage, very much like in real life racing teams ...

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Quote from the rules:
"TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
A team will be made up of a minimum of 1, and maximum of 3 drivers, all driving the same car in the same class. This championship will be scored by the total points score for all team drivers over the course of the championship"
Its the reason we entered 3 man teams rather than 4 teams of 2 so that every racer contributes and has a feeling, no matter how low down he is, that his position matters.

Car #30 didnt race last night?? Could the names also be put with the numbers when these's are announced?
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Regarding the points I hope to have some clarification tonight or tomorrow.
Historically, all of our series run with 2 out of the 3 drivers scoring the team's points.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
my bad, that should be #84. I read the position instead of the number. Will edit to correct.

Can I just check on the warning, is it the next 3 meetings in TORA or the next 3 meetings in TCC?
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
next 3 meetings raced at. So if it was GT's, the next 3 meetings would consist of 6 races. If it was the ISCC, the next 3 meetings are 3 races. Can be any meetings a driver attends in succession. (I imagine turning up and quitting early wouldn't count as an FYI)

We at British Gamers are so thrilled to be part of TORA that we are thinking of sponsoring the TORA TCC if you do not already have one.
Can someone please pm if you're interested.
Thanks,

The way I see this is that the third driver of a team can take points away from other teams, so to speak. If one team's drivers finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd, sure, only the top two drivers count for the Team, but the third driver has made sure that the next best team can only score 4th place points.....
It all adds up in the long run

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
If its about having the best three drivers then surely, it should be in my opinion, the best finishing position and worst finishing position per team per race should count, IE:
Team finishes 1st, 2nd and 6th
Points for 1st and 6th, but not for 2nd.
Team finishes 1st, 2nd and 6th
Points for 1st and 6th, but not for 2nd.

But if a team locked out the podium, and only 1st and 2nd earned their points for the team, the guy from the other team who finished 4th would still only get the points for 4th, he wouldn't then get team points for 3rd because he didn't finish there...
In my opinion though, it was in the rules from the get go, it's what most people have been working towards, all three teams members should score points.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I was just looking at the TORA week in review and noticed that the wrong person was cited as the driver of the Suzuki at Tsukuba.

Who what where?!? Let me know what needs amending and I'll do it.
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
It shows BG Wumba as the driver of the Suzuki, that driver was in fact FLT Newmanx of NTR.
"The race one podium was rounded off with the Suzuki of BG Wumba of the new British Gamers Race Team and TORA stalwart lfcnicklfc in his venerable SEAT Leon."
