Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Ok, we did some practice on the national circuit & was doing 1:40s and then we did Nurburgring and were doing 1:39s so surely if Hockenheim is too big then so is the Nurnurgring? Unless I did the wrong circuit?

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
We want to have the ring on the calendar however, and the small version is the smallest one we can go for. We can go smaller with the hock.
Once I'm back I'll have another test session with everyone and we can decide which circuit we like best. There is a few longer circuits on the calendar already, so it would be good to have another small one.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Yeah, I do like the Nurburgring but just thought it was odd that it was there when Hockenheim national wasn't. I see your point now

Cant wait for this
No argument from me.
I was just initially butt hurt as Id done 12+ hours of testing, which was now as useful as tits on a football.
Over that now as I've got the perfect excuse to play more.
Would be great to have Donnington & Brands in the game for this series.

With the recent influx of new members, it might be worth looking at it again if we can get enough people interested in running in it, and also reliable hosts to run it.
My first foray with TORA has been the GT series and I am enjoying it immensely. I really wanted to participate in this TCC series as well. However, due to work, I can't (live in GMT-7 time). Instead of moving the time, is it possible to move the day to Saturday or Sunday? Either for this series or a future touring car series. That is what enabled me to join the GT series, and I'd definitely join a TCC series on the weekend.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
We would love to be able to get everyone into the TCC, but a Tuesday night has traditionally been our TCC night ever since season 1. We tried getting a later American time zone friendly series going but it never took off as most of our members are from the UK.
Trooper is looking to get a slightly different type of touring car series off the group on a Sturday night however, so that may be worth checking out. It'll be USA time zone friendly.
We could consider moving the TCC to a weekend if there was space and if there was a large enough demand, but with the GTs and ISCC taking up every Sunday basically, we don't have the room for it.

If there were enough demand from US participants, with reliable hosts to run the events, then I think we'd look at facilitating the US series.
If those in later timezones would like to see this happen, please post here and let us know so we can gauge interest.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
You could work like a bit like the NFL.
With the top drivers at the end of the season from the States and Europe, having a race for an overall champion. ie a Superbowl race.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I don't mean to spoil the party and I hope I am not divulging any info that I am not supposed to, but, in a discussion I had with Trooper a couple of days ago, he said he may not be going ahead with his series as he may not have the time to run it.Richy wrote:...

I would definitely be interested in participating in a North American TORA TCC, and, unless there are more suitable people for the job, I could be persuaded to help make it happen.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I get back tomorrow, so next week I could have a chat with a few of you guys from that side of the pond and maybe we can get at least a TCC American lobby going
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
I should be able to help out, depending on the day.

Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
Richy, will the 2900lb maximum be strictly enforced? I have a car I'm planning on running, and it's sitting at 2,904...

Chucky 1982 wrote:The lobby will be set to max weight 2900lb
No biggie, I messed around and got the weight down.
Re: TORA TCC - General Discussion
The series decals will be released shortly. They consist of a numberboard which goes in the rear quarters of the car, below the back windows on either side. There is a series board that goes on the hood, and a plate for the front and rear bumpers.
When My Forza starts working properly, I will post pictures of their placement.

I assume the window banner is standard on all Tora Championships, the number boxes etc are different for each championship

Have we gotten anywhere on a North American timed TCC series?
