Forza Horizon - General Discussion

Couple of things about Horizon for people who will be getting the game over the next few days, when you go to the paint shop you can simply load your Forza 4 vinyl groups through Horizon, rather than having to import them all into the game again. This will take awhile however depending on how many you have, but once they are loaded the are just accessed through Horizon in the same way they are on FM4.

However, when you go back to FM4 and load up your vinyl groups it also takes ages to load them back up, and sits on the 'Saving Content' screen for ages. Just leave it, as it will eventually load back to normal and you can use your vinyl groups again.

Vice Versa, when you go back to Horizon you have to reload all your vinyls which takes as long as it did the first time.

Ive noticed something similar on FM4 recently, applying a livery takes an ages past few days

Skintypoos. Traded all my decent games for X-COM a few weeks ago. Not regretting that, X-COM is immense, but got nothing now for Forza Horizon... might be time to dip into the paypal reserve...

Enjoying Horizon, my only bitch is that I spent the money for the season pass and they want more money to purchase the map to locate the barn finds!

Don't worry, the game throws the Barn Finds at you very quickly. I have 5/9 already. I have about 60 of the Discount Signs by only driving around the map.

If anyone is interested, there are two playlists on YouTube for Horizon Bass Arena and Horizon Pulse. One is Dance and the other is 'Chillout Indie' whatever that means. Horizon Rocks is yet to be put up. I know most people on this forum can't stand the type of music that is played on Bass Arena, but I'm loving it and it's the perfect fit for driving around in the game.

To be honest, that's probably one thing about Forza Horizon that I hate, even before I recieved the game. When they officially released the list of songs from the soundtrack a while ago, I listened to everyone of them on youtube and didn't even like one track.
I'm probably the only person in this community who doesn't like the soundtrack lol

It's not music I'd casually listen to, but it fits the game perfectly

Horizon is the first racing game I have played in a long time where I still have the music playing. I'm happy to miss gear shifts whilst listening to Horizon Bass

Yeah, I've liked what I've heard so far in terms of music. And I just remembered, I have a working 20gb xbox sitting upstairs surplus to requirements...

I wasn't pleased with the music in the demo, so last night I turned off the music in-game, and had Last.fm going on 'Amine Tag Radio'

Also found it funny looking through the achievement list, one is called #WINNING!

Most of the stuff on that rock station is overrated garbage, with a few notable exceptions.. Classic Hives and Subways, Pulled Apart by Horses (who I unfortunately missed at T in the Park), and the kings (and queens) of dance-punk, LCD Soundsystem.

I actually might pick this up at some point... Looking quite fun from the gameplay footage.

There's only one Nancy in LCD Soundsystem. Unless you're talking bad about James himself

I liked the inclusion of The Black Keys, and my girlfriend's a massive Arctic Monkeys fan. I like the rock station for the most part.

I just wish I had $55. Only games I'd have that I'd even consider would be NFL12, NCAA12, DiRT 3, and Final Fantasy XIII. And I'd still be WAY too short.

But who cares. They provided the best two gigs of my life.

After one day I'm addicted to this game, I haven't been this hooked on game since I was kid when I got NFS underground. I love the music, and the cars are a blast to drive on the open road. The racing is is great but not like out TORA races lol

I have to say even tho I was skeptical after the demo, this game is an absolute blast for me, can't get enought of driving my challenger around and taking pics instead of racing lol

For any Americans or anyone in the UK who is lucky enough to get their pre-orders early I will be hosting some random races online tonight from about 8pm onwards, obviously only up to 8 people can join a lobby at once.

I would do it tomorrow, but I'm away for the weekend. Not sure if people will be able to make it or not but let me know
