Re: 2012 NASCAR (and other roundy roundy racing)
Not from what I've heard. Pensive was the only team racing the challenger and the charger. Ergo they won't be next year. Im sure dodge is leaving all 3 series if I'm not mistaken.
But mikey you know as well as anyone who watches NASCAR that dodge is leaving because there are no more organizations left without contracts for manufacturers. They aren't going to give a start and park team the factory keys.
They want to give the far to a team that makes thief own engines. And Hendrick, Childress, Roush, ganassi, petty and penske (toyota makes the engines for their teams) all are committed.
They are going to wait for one of them to have thief contract expire so they can make a deal. Either that or they are going to have to spend the money to make the engines themselves and supply them to a second tier team.
They will still be at the track promoting their products, they just won't be racing next year. They hope to race in two years time.
But yes, I am in favour of them spending the extra money into the viper. Since it would be more worth while. (trickle down engineering).

Re: 2012 NASCAR (and other roundy roundy racing)
Correction weeks before dodge was going to unveil its 2013 cup car, Penske made a deal to race with ford, like in the old days. And since Penske was the only one in dodge in the cup then there wasn't gonna be a dodge cup team next year, unless some team takes to dodge. So dodge never wanted to leave, it just doesn't have a team in cup. But like said there will still be the challenger and the ram in the lower series I like the challenger better anyway lol

The Challenger looks the best of the Nationwide cars.

Nationwide cars have more downforce, less weight and less HP which makes them a bit easier to drive.

Re: 2012 NASCAR (and other roundy roundy racing)
its both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide, but RAM will stay in the Truck series:
proof:
"Dodge will leave NASCAR after the conclusion of the 2012 season, head of SRT Motorsports Ralph Gilles said today in a statement. The departure will end the brand’s involvement in both the Sprint Cup and the Nationwide Series."

Re: 2012 NASCAR (and other roundy roundy racing)
According to NASCAR.com there was nothing saying the dodge wouldn't be in the nationwide series....

No it won't....
There hasn't been a factory-backed RAM team in the Trucks series in years. I think all that's left is the Penske-affiliated teams who have Dodge "contracts".

Re: 2012 NASCAR (and other roundy roundy racing)
There was a keselowski team this year and then there are other teams with no penske affiliation, so it's more than likely we will see them next season.

Re: 2012 NASCAR (and other roundy roundy racing)
The trucks are running ELDORA SPEEDWAY (one of the most famous dirt tracks in the US) and MOSPORT next year.
Wow. Not only do we finally have a dirt race, like we've been crying out for for years, but we also have a race on one of North Americas baddest road courses.
Bring it on!
