I was at New castle but i was not racing.
I dont know the name but it is right next to the New Jersey Motorsport track...
Re: The Karting Club
ex Karter here, from UK have raced Cadet, Mini Max and Junior Max but quit so more time could be put into my brother. Hes done Cadet, WTP (used to race with PLOW Champion) and JICA.
Was good whilst it lasted but it costs way to much, you put a lot in but get hardly anything back. I prefer driving cars.

Florida Karting news-
-Central Florida Road Course changes its name to Orlando Kart Center
-Florida Winter Tour marks the date for their run to Orlando Kart Center
-CKI changes name to WSK North America
-WSK(CKI) names its races one of them being Homestead Miami, Which throws FWT off of Homesteads schedule. As the Owner of HOmestead already stated that they can only have one big series not two. FWT is at lost until they picked up OKC for rounds 1 and 2 in January

Re: The Karting Club
Thruxton is a VERY good lil track even better for the Suzuka like up n over bit.
Raced there once of twice but still prefer the mighty Clay Pigeon and also Llandow where we tested all the time.

Re: The Karting Club
My track is purpose built, a lot of tracks though are makeshift in old parking lots and are made with barriers, depends on where your at though
Re: The Karting Club
all the tracks in florida are purpose built...alot are old though...

Re: The Karting Club
Well i have two more races this season and for next season im getting a new motor
Re: The Karting Club
nice....mine came in friday and i spent all day saturday putting it on and all that stuff
Re: The Karting Club
Yeah installation will be a lot easier now that im now working out of my basement (i have my own shed now!) and 4 strokes arent that hard to remove/install theres not that many parts on my kart
Re: The Karting Club
everything on 2 cycles are replacible...
lol
so you have to go through alot of things

Re: The Karting Club
oh see heres how it works with four strokes.
undo mount screws, lift old motor out, put new motor in, replace screws. add gears, get a new chain, i should probably get new tires too. i get my engines from the people who run the track blueprinted, ready to run and mount. instead of paying $350 for a rebuild im just getting the much better briggs and stratton animal, stock its rated around 7hp, once its blueprited your making around 15, and tons of torque

Re: The Karting Club
closer to 15 once blueprinted. i also dont slide as much as you, and i probably have more torque. only having about 3 or 4 moving parts is nice too

Re: The Karting Club
im pretty good at my karting been told i could easyly be in the british championships (not just the scottish ones) by sum ex kart team owners and ive been within a second of BTCC racer Matt Neal in a single engined kart were he had used a twin engined one and it was my 1st time at the track too. quick in wet too, was told too slow down my race stewards at a test once cz i was only likek 1.5 seconds slower than a dry time in pouring rain on slicks....

Re: The Karting Club
Going too fast is a problem too though, because you dont have a diff, you can spin easily by going to fast
