weekend before xmas, we had an ice storm. over 100k people went without power due to 2"+ of ICE accretion everywhere.

Altho, today/last night we got 20+cm of snow here, and at school they got over 30, so the first day of the new semester got snowed out....which is rare

Today is ok. No rain, little wind where I am.

Last night I had to drive through a massive puddle on a junction because some jacka$$ stopped on the other side of the road where the puddle wasn't, at the same time two equally jacka$$ drivers come past the junction way too fast. My car doesn't have power steering so getting through the corner with the puddle was a challenge on it's own... Mad

I haven't really seen much of it, just typical February weather. Nowhere in Yorkshire is particularly badly affected, seems to be mostly the South & South-West.

Well, ckming from.Devon you can imagine what we've had this last week.or so.
Dawlish is just the other side.of the river to us. So our seafront has had a pretty major battering. Our dunes have gone. The seafront road is under sand and a good portion of the towns guest house and holiday home area has been flooded at least three times in a week and a half. It's come very close to our house but we've been quite lucky.
Major roads out of Exmouth have been periodically flooded and it's a major headache to get to work at the moment. Just feel.sorry for those in Somerset who are losing everything right now.
