Welcome to Scotland.


20 degrees Vs 3 degrees for Glasgow... It's currently snowing outside.

Every day, tens of thousands of people go through Central station in the morning.

High winds mean that the station is now closed due to safety concerns.

The whole city is f*cked.

Very windy. Some of my fence panels have blown off. A few lorries have gone over as well, ensue panic mode.

Many rigs have been down-manned offshore, and today we had sustained winds of around 115mph with gusts of up to 150mph. Out compressors and generators can't cope with the difference in pressures and have shut themselves down.

The entire rail network just got shut down.

Buses were packed.

Nearly died walking from Tradeston to Finnieston in the gusts.

It hasn't been above freezing for the past three days. If I liked this weather, I'd move to Wisconsin or Canada, but I just don't.

Woke up to 4 inches of snow, and that has almost doubled in the hours since. Seeing as its not going to be above freezing until at least Monday, this seems a great weekend to hibernate.

I got stuck on a train yesterday one stop from where I was getting off. A tree fell on the lines and caught fire

Yours are in the positive, right? As in warm? My temps are in the negative, as in below zero. As in it will take 10 degrees to get out of debt.

Our snow we got Friday won't begin to melt until midweek. I will gladly take that trade. How far to the beach?

Cold and windy at Donny today. Nothing much else to write home about. We're escaping the worst of the bad weather in the South West just now.

Highs of 10 tomorrow, lows of 7. Medium to low level clouds. Typical Northern England.

I certainly didn't expect a lightning storm in Scotland in the middle of December, but last night was an epic. Lasted a good hour or so and consisted all of this...

So my corner of the world has finally thawed out just in time for make-up college final exams this week, putting off what was supposed to be a 3-week break into a 2-week break.  

so everyone has heard about the snow storm in the US, well here's something from me:
taken at 4:21 in THE AFTERNOON it's as dark as it gets at 10 at night, because of a huge storm overhead,
