Re: BTCC 2013
I completely agree. He's not exactly doing any better than he did in the Passat...Slider S15 wrote:(PS: Am I the only one who thinks Tom Onslow-Cole would have been better off staying at Tony Gilham Racing rather than moving to Motorbase?)

Re: BTCC 2013
TOC has no loyalty and jumps instantly to the biggest team available; he's done this before when going from AMD Tuning (VW Golf) to AON (Ford) although it's understandable to be honest. The Passat is abit of a mess right now and to an extent still not finished (probably because TEAM HARD are constantly having to rebuild or repair the Insignia's) but the Focus is only slightly a mess but has a more capable team. Also Jake Hill will drive Will Bratts Audi next race

^^^ Agreed! TOC's lack of loyalty ALWAYS seems to bite him too.
Everyone's favourite BTCC Driver Andy Neate will miss the season Finale this weekend as he has contracted pneumonia....

Also Shaun Hollamby will return to give the AMD VW Golf S2000 its final send off....

Re: BTCC 2013
CONGRATULATIONS to 2013 BTCC Champion Andrew Jordan!!!
Have to admit I wasn't too thrilled about another Honda winning it but glad it wasn't Shedden!
Have to shout out Jack Goff (despite his funny name, Say it several times fast and you'll see what I mean! lol) pushing Shedden for race victory in the POS Team Hard Insignia and being generally impressive all day. Hopefully it's enough to give him and the team a decent budget to move forward in 2014.

What a last day! Was very very good, fair play to him, he deserved it that's for sure.

Had a great weekend at Brands, just a shame about the weather. Congrats to Andy Jordan, well deserved.

Re: BTCC 2013
Fantastic day at Brands even though the weather was foul! Tense last race! So happy that Andy (My favorite for many years), got the win! Worth the run from the southbank, round Druids, up Paddock Hill Bend and to the start line for the podium!
Awesome drive by Goff for 2nd Managed to get Goff, Jordan, Sheddan and Austins autographs too Love BTCC! Much more exiting than F1.

What do you expect? He's got a hell of a lot of fans who are glad to see him win rather than Plato or Neal.

Re: BTCC 2013
Oh I know, I'm not putting him down or anything and he more than deserved it. It'sjust that everyone seems to be an Andrew Jordan fan now
I like Dan Welch because he had a chat with me at Croft in 2012, very down to earth person, and funny!

Re: BTCC 2013
I'll admit, a few people suddenly became fans of his.. But still it's worth it for us fans who've supported him for a while :3
Dan Welch is a good lad! Respect for him for racing in Silverstone with his bad coccyx... That's gotta hurt!

Jordan deserved the championship, but I'm not a fan. Great driver but I don't cheer him on during a race.

Re: BTCC 2013
2013 was a great year for the championship. We just need a few more professional teams (not necessarily manufacturers) to join Dynamics, Eurotech, WSR and Triple Eight - Teams that could be true forces in the title. There's far too many dodgy looking private builds in the field!
There are plenty of great teams out there that would be a real quality addition to the field (RML, TWR, Prodrive.. to name a few). Still though, plenty to look forward to for next season. Should be some new cars to oggle at. BTCC pre-season is always fun with these NGTC regs.
I'd also love to see one or two proper feature races over the season. It'd be great to see how the NGTC cars perform over longer distances... F1 support at Silverstone and the second visit to Brands would be great opportunites for these.

Re: BTCC 2013
Matt Neal's race 2 fire.
He does the one thing all marshals are taught not to do, lift the bonnet. Luckily here, the flash happens before he does that otherwise I can see the flames coming forward and hitting the marshals and Matt.
