Looks awesome dude. All the best for the meeting you attend.
Wonder if you get out TOCA 2 for a practice on the track before you get there!

Re: My Dunlop MK2 Golf GTi Build thread and race progress thread thing...
Not long till Brands now Rusty. Cannot wait. I'll be there ready & waiting with the camera mate
By the way, is there any chance that I'll be able to gain pit access so I can take snap shots of you & the car in the pits as well as on track?

You know, I never would have thought that! How unfortunate to have something in common with the Austin/MG Maestro! lol

Making the interior kill switch and Extinguisher pull panel
Panel finished, aint pretty but does the job
New clutch cable
Exterior pull
Extinguisher fitted, just need to fit the spray nozzels and its finished
At £20 i wasnt turning this lot down!!
Test fit
And thats my office pretty much finished!
Not far to go now

So back to it again!
Turns out I have to re-wire the whole car as I was having a nightmare finding the correct loom, i got lucky and foiund someone breaking an Early model GTi so landed the full loom for £40
dash loom out
Dash and column out
Modified my Steering column to sit lower
Everything back in
Fitting the engine and headlamp loom now ( nightmare )
Sorting out the gear linkage... gayness
Coolant hoses
New clocks as the new loom wont fit the ones i have
Brake pipes are also gay
Sourced aload more parts though, so long as the weather is good tomorrow, will be having a busy day!!!

They'll be on Motors TV at some point. They're in the same paddock as the VWAG races, so if you see that series racing somewhere, then the Mk2 Golfs are always on straight after them.

Looking good man nice paint work. Running wires and break/fuel hard lines are such a pain.

Longtime no update!
With the Cumbria VAG show looming ( A week today ;O ) I figured, id better start doing some serious graft on this car!
New Baffled sump
New Windage/splash tray ( they dont tell you abou tthis shizz on Forza
So upon removing the old sump, I find an almost brand new Oil pump has been fitted to my £100 engine! Win 8-)
Sump fitted, maby should have given it a fresh lick of paint like but ah well haha
Finally secured the wheel arches and bumpers properly
Single lamp grille
Scratting around under the back end again....
Another brake pipe done
Boot pins
Kill switch pull chord fitted
Decided to give it a quick wash
Not much left to do now either
Oh, and this happend
