Ford Focus RS
Hockenheim National
1:35.302
Definitely need to try things to see if I can more time out of this car.

1:34:3xx
Citreon DS4 (Clean)
Dont think ive got anymore in this shed.
First corners tricky to get perfect without falling foul of the 'two tyres not over the white line' rule.
The Renault and Civic are a bit quick arent they,1:34:1s with only a very basic 5 second tune.

1:37.265 with the Civic.

I'll send you my build/tune if you want to test it, see if you like it.
Best clean time in the BMW so far is a 1:34.215.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
OK, can someone let me know what times you fast guys have managed in the Astra VXR. Dont want help with the tune or anything, just want to get my time to a good average. I am normally within 1-2 secs slower due to being simply not as good lol.
Cheers guys

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
Dave the Astra is monumentally poor at cornering, I even tried the anti roll bar all the way down to zero to see if tripod cornering would do it.
not too late to choose another car mate.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
No im fine with it mate. It goes round corners its just a little lower on HP than the like of the Volvo I tried. I tend not to test the cars but just choose one and get it do what I want.
I know you have been running 34's which is fast and im in the 36's. This tune could go much lower with a better driver. Which is why I wanted a ballpark to set my time on. It took me ages to get into the 36 which by the average is not too bad.
Which is why I wanted the likes of yourself to give me a time.
If the Astra has only been able to hit a 1.35... with any of you guys in then Im extremely happy
Cheers Tub

Ford Focus ST '13
Hockenheim National
No tune. Everytime I try to minimally adjust the tune in anyway I lose 2 tenths

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
I know how you feel mate lol. One thing I can say which help me is to RAISE the Diff to around the 85 mark. It gave me less tyre scrub and let me get round that little faster.
Not sure if that is the way to do it LOL but it worked really well for the astra. I could not get it to grip on the bends no matter what I did to the suspension.
But nice time though

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
1:34.7 in the Megane.
Still only a basic first build with a 5 second tune.
Got a ton of A600 FWD cars in my garage already so the drivetrain & power layout is nothing new to me.
1:35.3xx in the Astra with my testing build and a 5 second tune so it's about half a second slower than the Megane and I didn't think its handling was too bad (certainly not Sentra bad anyway).
Race Cams give you a nice flat HP curve at the top end and doesn't increase torque much so makes the car more driveable and the Sport Gearbox can be set so you can pull out of corners smoothly in 3rd and only use 3rd, 4th and a little bit of 5th.
Send me a FR and i'll gift it over for you to compare if you want.

Thanks Cowboy, I had a look at your tune and build. Had to make a slight adjustment so I could "enjoy" the ride. Its slightly heavier and not as loose. But at least I can comfortably hit around my fastest time most times. That is a happy medium for me.
Appreciate it mate. Thanks.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
I have come to the conclusion that due to T10 not allowing the car to be even a few inches off track at any point w/o "dirtying" the lap, Hockenheim should not be used in league competition. The same way that Maple Valley and Sunset are never used due to aggressive curbing that causes flips.
the more laps I do here, the more I despise this place.

Surely that would affect Catalunya too because of the last chicane.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
Just grind it out Mikey. And if there is any practice/testing lobbies going then I'm game
