The same way that Maple Valley and Sunset are never used due to aggressive curbing that causes flips.
the more laps I do here, the more I despise this place.
Surely that would affect Catalunya too because of the last chicane.
I've found a way through that last chicane at Catalunya that is always certified clean, yet has two wheels off three times every lap. A Hock, it is the first turn, T2, T3, the first stadium complex, the second stadium complex, ... everywhere that you can go half a wheel off that dirties the lap.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
Last time I checked putting two wheels on or even over the curb is ok. Thought as long as you keep two wheels on the inside of the white lines your ok. Hockenhiem in my opinion is one of the better racing tracks.

Hockenheim's got to be one of the best tracks, can't drop it from comps

Ok in TORA rules, but not quallies at Hockenheim.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
Im not sure what you mean in "quallies at Hockenheim".
Do you mean real life sereis? If you watch DTM from this year, you can see they use a lot of the curbing in their qually runs, and even in the race, sometimes even going all 4 tires over the white lines.
If its ok in Tora rules to use curbing as long as your keeping at least 2 wheels inside at all times then I don't see the problem.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
^ In Qualifying, I mean FM4 certified clean lap times. I can only wish I could use as much (or more precisely little) of the track as they use in DTM. Paffett was rarely all four, or even two, wheels on track in T1.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
I agree with Mikey in that T10 jacked up their lap Cert. system as you can't race tracks like they were built to because you go "dirty" and thus can't validate track limits. But oh we'll...
I hope they fix it in FM5.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
It took me 13 attempts to get a clean practise lap, if you go 2 wheels over the curb on the outside of T1 it's classed as an illegal lap, whats worse if you use the extra curb at the end of the final turn its mucks up that current lap and your next one!

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
Ah, the age Olds convo re dirty laps.
a tip: on qualifying run a fast, clean and most probably slower lap on lap 2 (the first one being the warm up) then you can push it and take the urine, this guarantees a qualifying time without dropping to the back of the bottom lobby.
the game has it's limits for whatever reason, it's up to you to make the best of it.
Good luck, and I hope all of the Megan's in true French car style break down

Just because you missed out on the car choice!
Also like to say everyone is putting the Megane at the top but I have fun 4 cars that have matched the Megan's time. I just love the look and the way it drives standard

Look you young whipper snapper, you know me well enough to realise that I'm old, so old in fact that I could be your dad (yikes), I need all the help I can get these days, my reaction times are measured on a calendar .
Was even thinking of running with an auto box to save the pain of the old arthritis.
Do turn 10 do a windscreen upgrade of a bifocal screen

Tubbi, is this your idea of a race seat too?
Just look at that low front splitter and the adjustable aerodynamic devices on each side!

You complete set of (naughty word). I laughed loudly in the works canteen. Now they think I'm a little on the strange side. But in total fairness it was worth it. Best giggle I've had. Here have some thumbed ups.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
1:34.9 in the Insignia so far with a 10 minute tune, will try to squeeze some more out of it during the week, this track is a pain to push the car on without going off slightly and getting a dirty lap.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 7 - Lap Times
Blimey Myles, you building a drift monster
A tip: put the bump stiffness to zero front and back, also do not deck the car on the floor, braking and anti roll bars are more effective with a little bit of height on the suspension, it also helps with the braking but most importantly is the kerbs, if you deck it the wheels have no where to travel and the car grinds on the kerbs slowing you down or worse still bounces you into the air.

Start a new thread, "Tubbi's Tips" and provide us more of you knowledge of tuning. Maybe one a week and then discuss........PLOW tubbi wrote:Blimey Myles, you building a drift monster
