SCCA Trans Am Series discussion

By a narrow margin, SCCA Trans Am has beaten NASCAR Nationwide Series to become the next installment of the Friday Night Spec Series.

Since Trans Am is based on the GT1 cars, we will be using the Oreca Viper, C6.R Corvette and Aston Martin DBR9. And since this will be run as a 'spec' series, there will be no upgrades or tuning allowed.

I am thinking a five race schedule on American circuits: Laguna Seca, Infineon, Road America, Road Atlanta and Indy GP.

Seeing as these cars can be beasts to drive at times, TCS will be allowed, as will Braking Line. And to further minimize potentially race ending damage, Cosmetic Damage will be implemented.

Gotta bring out that Viper unless Mikey has an Allied Forces paint for a different car.

I'm going to have paints for all three as I'm unsure which car I will be using week to week.

I'd use the Ambrose DeWalt livery as the new Ford stole the grille from the Aston

Erebus Motorsport Australian GT Mercedes SLS paint, i think it looks wicked on the vette, similar shape

I'm not racing, but I do love making Ax4x paints Aston Martin paint coming soon.

The rear is a bit bare, but I couldn't really get it to 'work' with how I wanted it. So just bog standard team and website logos.

I sent the TCR Trans Am sticker out... looks like the SCCA version except for where it would say "SCCA"

Oh... "in addition to"? I have the SCCA Club racing and SCCA Pro Series stickers too. If anyone wants one, just ask me, or Erebus.

I got to thinking, the new Ford NASCAR looks much like an Aston in the grille area, and Petty Motorspots runs a Ford, so naturally I had to...
