Re: TEC Community general discussion
question, could we do ISCC pit stop rules?
if not that's fine, and i love how the grid calculations will be done, great idea

Re: TEC Community general discussion
the reason for no double stinting is to have it running smoothly once one stint has finished the other should be running
will stick with the 1 pit stop rule before allocated time so replay can be saved and check to see if pitstop taken correctly if pitstop taken incorrectly that team not the driver will be punished

Re: TEC Community general discussion
Will there be any live streaming done by the people who did it @ Le Mans?
If yes,
If no, is anyone interested in streaming on their own just like @ Le Mans where there were multiple feeds?
From what I have seen so far, I don't think there will be 4 lobbies, so if enough people volunteer, then we can stream all the lobbies.

Re: TEC Community general discussion
I'm moving that weekend so any participation or streaming from myself is very unlikely for this event.

Same here.
It looks like a 2 or 3 lobby race at this point. How are the lobbies going to be split up? 15 per lobby?
Edit: I have an idea regarding the streaming. How about we have an in-race reporter who goes around to the drivers that just completed their stints and ask them how their stints went. This person would send messages to potentially available drivers, then the would interview them, and then he would jump into the Skype chat and reports to us. Or we could invite a few drivers w/skype in the booth for the interviews instead. This could work for qualifying, potentially allowing us to continue coverage after the sessions have ended.
Edit 2: If the results are inputted right away, there could be a post-race show (if anyone is still around at midnight GMT.)

We're yet to figure this out yet, remember it depends on how many entries we get - probably even split with LMP/GTs just like TORA Le Mans.

I like this idea - you know how in real life TV coverage drivers do quick 45 second interviews or so if they've finished a stint or crashed out, and it's played over the top of the main audio - if there's a way to do that it would be immense, I don't think that's been done yet, and it adds yet another layer to the 'live coverage'.

If we're still awake!
Re: TEC Community general discussion

Re: TEC Community general discussion
Will you allow double stinting if the driver can make it to the stint by the start of the stint? As long as the lobbies start by the top of the hour sharp, I don't see a reason why this should not be allowed... With that said, I'd really like to see the stints start as the clock hits the top of the hour regardless of issues people may have connecting. If they want to be sure that they make the stint, the lobbies will be open at 15 til at the latest so they have the opportunity to sort that out before 5 til or so when the host should be ready to rock and give a "final call" for racers in their lobby.BG Wingnut396 wrote:the reason for no double stinting is to have it running smoothly once one stint has finished the other should be running

This shall certainly be a bit different racing competitively during reasonable British hours rather than 3 in the morning.

It's perfect timing here in the U.S. as well. I could probably do the whole thing myself if it weren't for those double-stint bans.

Re: TEC Community general discussion
Don't get me wrong I love racing the people I do from the states as the battles for positions is immense and there is huge respect between each of the drivers It's worth getting up at 3 in the morning for but not sure how it will be with me racing during "normal" British hours if you get what I mean with being a night owl and that.

Re: TEC Community general discussion
Also as for double stinting all the way for 12 hours is not a good way to go best to have a break go to the loo get some fluids, food and conserve yourself. Is a very tiring sport and alike athletes drivers have to rest and recoup to be at their best. Always leave a easy to open sports drink on the side for when you're on the straights. LOL know a guy that I race with who has a button on his wheel for drinks.

I need three more drivers in my LMP team and I still have no drivers on my GT team. You're welcome to join!
