Two new driving games are in development at Codemasters, British Touring Car Champion Matt Neal has revealed – with his involvement possibly hinting at the return of Codemasters' TOCA series.

"Great day @Codemasters helping tuning tracks & cars," Neal tweeted earlier today, "watch out for their two new driving games when out as they're awesome! #LovelyPeople".

Going by latest Codemasters racing games I couldnt care less sorry unless they bring back driver team ...

Same, I'm expecting better than GRID though but you know where my future racing interest are

F1 2013 was quite nice in my opinion

I have no idea what to make of Codemasters. They make a great game like the F1 franchise and it's hailed for realism and great fun. And then they go and make utter manure like DiRT Showdown or GRID 2. I'll keep my eye out for it but I'm not sure what it'll turn out like   

Dirt Showdown was alright for a spinoff to the series. I had a lot of fun on the 8-Ball But it had the Horizon effect - putting the franchise name on it made everyone expect something that it wasn't.

GRID 2 was pants. I have no idea what they were thinking with it but it took a major dive from Race Driver: GRID (which stemmed from a TOCA title anyway)

If they can make a new TOCA game and not utterly cock it up then they'll be in business. What we really need is a Race Driver 4.

I'm hoping for a BTCC game

Codemasters seem to have a habit of disappointing game sequels, F1 has been progressively getting worse, Grid 2 was a big flop, Dirt lost it's magic. I really hope that TOCA will bust this theory, it's been too long since the last Touring Car game.

Hopefully they learned from their mistakes, and made a huge loss off GRID/GRID2, and return to the TOCA Pro Race Driver format in hopes of making money again.

I really hope this is going to be good but unfortunately after Grid 2 I'm not getting my hopes up.

Another GRID game already? I want Dirt 4.

I actually wasn't too crazy about Dirt 3. No rally game does it for me any more. RBR has yet to be surpassed.

I agree, Dirt 3 wasn't great but I played the hell out of Dirt 2. It had a great balance of Rally and other things that can be done in Rally cars. The way codies have been talking recently it sounded like they were working hard on Dirt 4, votes, feedback, surveys, visits etc, all relating to real life and classic rallying so to hear it's GRID already is disappointing.

Really? Gymkhana and that baloney aside, DiRT 3 was really good. It had more rally than DiRT 2 (with S2000 and classic classes!!) and had proper hillclimb cars like the Rhys Millen thing. There was also loads of weather options too.

There was a lack of trucks and buggies and stuff that was in DiRT 2 but I didn't sorely miss it.

The only one of the Dirt series I've played is the 3rd one which apart from gymkhana I enjoyed it quite a bit. I still play it occasionally.

Just spotted this on IGN http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/04/22/grid-autosport-announced, looks like it could be interesting especially as it says that Codemasters have consulted with the Grid community.

Looks looks interesting, pity it's not on the new consoles so might pick it up on PC. Only thing that puts me off if it's just the GRID 2 physics engine on real work race tracks. Touring cars look good though, very much the same as the first GRID which I spent most of the time playing.

I just read that it will have a new handling engine for this game, hopefully it'll be good. Unless everyone goes and buys it on 360 and it's any good I may get it on that, otherwise I think it'll be better on PC for me.
