Re: BTCC 2009 Discussion
Yeah I did, as my mates were having a "car club meet"...in a back garden...in the rain...with a BBQ...I sat and watched the BTCC and F1 and eat BBQ. Anti-social, maybe. Sensible, Yes.
Re: BTCC 2009 Discussion
bbq, cars, beer...seems pretty reasonable to me

A new entry at Rockingham?
Also, looks like I was wrong about Shedden being the possible third BMW at Motorbase, as anyone who watched the coverage will have seen Steven Kane is looking at returning for the final two rounds. That can only be good.

I noticed at Knockhill, the Team AON zipper fleece's are sexy.

Yes, but I reckon they'd get mockit very quickly. Especially given that they are worn by guys working with messy, dirty cars at messy, dirty, tracks.
Personally I would have given this to the Dynamics Civic if they'd kept Shedden's silver and black livery from the Rockingham media day - that was just terribly awesome looking. Instead the dayglo flashes have ruined them. Although Pinkneys is still cool.
But in the end my vote has to go with an old favourite of mine, the Honda Integra, looking rather striking in team sunshine.co.uk colours.

Re: BTCC 2009 Discussion
I don;t get why touring cars are getting smaller in Europe- now it looks like they are 2 doors instead of 4
longer cars are harder to pass with and make it more exciting
like, it should be the Ford Mondeo instead of a Focus

All time erm.. Works Nissan Primera 98/99, Works Honda Accord 99/00 and Works Ford Mondeo 99/00. Also I quite liked Matt Neal's Nissan Primera from 2000.

Re: BTCC 2009 Discussion
This season best looking car? Defo the RAC Beemers, imo they are the most realistic looking touring cars. Especially compared to the mish mash of stickers on the motorbase cars.
Of all time? Has to be the 97 Laguna or the 98 Accord

Re: BTCC 2009 Discussion
99/00 Honda Accord, mean looking car when viewed from the rear buper cam!
Was also a fan of the '98 Nescafe sponsored Lagunas and of course the '96 Audi A4 still is a classic.

Re: BTCC 2009 Discussion
Tbh most of the Supertourers from the late 90's were mean looking cars, I cant think of a one that was horrible. Maybe the big fat Honda Accord from 97/98 was be the only one.
