Re: Project CARS.
As much as there is to like about this game, the controller is absolutely killing me!! I detest racing with a pad, that's why I dumped 600$ into my Fanatec set up for Forza. I sure hope the patch helps because at the moment I can't find any consistency in the steering at all. One car will handle OK as far as the steering with the controller goes, and the next will be twitchy as hell, barely controllable. Oddly, I took the Merc SLS GT3 out for a ride at Road America and it was fantastic! If I cold get all the cars to respond like that this game would be a blast.
That said, anyone have any tips on setting up the Clio? I have it more or less where I like the steering, but I can't stop the rear from sliding no matter what I do. I have to admit I don't understand the tuning in this game at all yet.

Re: Project CARS.
I don´t know how TORA is organizing British GT but they are going to find so many issues if this game doesn´t change drastically.
The more I play, the more bugs, glitchs and problems I find.
Grids need to be sorted out since there are random empty spots and people don´t start where they should.
My game has crashed several times DURING THE RACE!
There is some sort of framerate issue that happens whenever you brake. Like, the game slows down when you brake and when you release it, it accelerates.
Whenever you pit, the tune setup resets.
You can accelerate before the green light shows up.
There is more....
Cadwell Park Framerate is a disaster. Cars ARE NOT balanced. Beware, the McLaren is faster than the other GT3s.
Overall lobby stability is poor. Connection is poor....
The thing is, I really like this game. I´m starting to think the list is too big for them to fix. At the moment, this sorta reminds me of TDU2. Lets hope it doesn´t end up in the same place.

Re: Project CARS.
After playing it myself (finally) I can see where both sides are coming from, and I'm planted right in the middle.
While it's a great game, and all the physics and driving feel roughly-correct, there's so much blatantly-wrong with the game. I don't know how many times I'd be leading/going for the lead with 1 to go when the car would snap-steer in the opposite direction. Or the framerate drops, which break concentration and give headaches. Or the other stuff that AntR just listed--I've noticed it all so far.

Re: Project CARS.
One thing that they need to change is qualifying. They need to let you finish the lap you're on when the time runs out.

You can do this on Career mode and Solo Play, hopefully they can add it to Multiplayer too!

Re: Project CARS.
Don't know about other wheel users, but I'm using the Thrustmaster TX. There's obviously loads of talk regarding the Xbone controller, as that's what the majority will use, but I've been finding issues with the TX force feedback - or rather the complete lack of it.
I'm lucky enough to have been playing the PC version for a few years, and whilst I've been highly critical of it, it had evolved into a great game I enjoy playing, and the force feedback conveyed a very realistic feeling of how the car works on track.
With the release on Xbone the feeling is virtually gone. I've found loads of people similarly affected, and numerous work arounds to at least give some feeling to the cars. I'm only on my phone so can't easily link to them, but someone posted a spreadsheet of all individual car ffb settings. Took the best part of an hour to transfer them, but it certainly was worth it for the most part. GT cars and Formula cars feel great, if a little light, but the likes of the Clio even at max tyre force and numerous ffb adjustments has no feeling to it. I'm even running at 540 degrees instead of 900 and they still feel like I'm steering little clio shaped boats around
Anyway, that's my pCARS rant

Has a patch come out for this yet? Like the game and any of the faults? Any leads on a proposed date? I've zero interest in PCars at the moment consequently

Re: Project CARS.
The AI are just stupid on CARS. They're pretty good at racing but as soon as anything different occurs they just suck at everything.
They're terrible at navigating tight spots, so tracks like Monaco, the short Monza with the chicane, Oulton Park's chicane at the top of the hill, turn into an Aldi car park as soon as an AI crashes and the rest pile into the back.

Re: Project CARS.
I have had to skip every race at Monaco in FC, FB, etc. They just can't do it. The AI and the Performance are the biggest drawbacks so far for me.
Re: Project CARS.
The game feel so much better with the wheel. Look forward to getting a stand so I can use it more often.
Until then, really hoping the patch comes soon.
