Absolutey right Stan. Videogames aren't art, they're commerical products - they're made by businesses, and those businesses have to make a profit. If they don't, they go bust and all the hundreds of people they employ lose their jobs. That's the reality of Forza Motorsport, Project CARS, DiRT Rally or any other game. Feedback from community members helps the developers produce a better game, with higher review scores, they sell more copies and make more money (or lose less is many cases). That's why Turn 10, Codemasters and SMS engage their community, they need to understand what it is their customers want from the game - I've spoken to many people in the industry over the last 8 years and provided input and feedback on whats working and what isn't. If any small part of those suggestions get taken on board, then it's beneficial to the wider community and worth doing.

Feedback from the community helped fix the multiplayer bug in Forza 4 which was crashing lobbies for the first 3 months; pressure from the community to add saving of multiplayer replays in Forza 5 saw that feature get added after launch. And without the 20,000 community investors in Project CARS, that game would never had been made in the first place. Developers want constructive, useful feedback that helps them produce a more commerically viable game, not negativity and accusations of 'rolling in cash', that kind of feedback is of no use and they won't waste their time engaging with people with that mentality. These are real people, with real jobs, real constraints, real budgets and they're trying to make a successful product for us to enjoy - they don't always get it right but to suggest they're not interested or even care is very wide of the mark.

Turn 10 has taken on board criticisms of Forza 5 - the lack of gap indicators, the inability to spectate a lobby - the latter severely hampered the games success as an online e-sports platform for sites such as TORA, and feedback from online leagues has influenced design choices for Forza 6 - which is a win-win for both us playing the game, and for Turn 10 in terms of it's commercial success. Forza games reportedly cost in the region of $40m to make, the developers and publishers have to ensure the game appeals to a wide audience just to cover the development and marketing costs, if input from the community helps them do that and in return we get a game that we enjoy, then we all benefit. Or we can just sit here moaning, complaining and stamping our feet in entitlement, I know which I'd rather do!

Excellent! Is that #33 Volvo in the Endurance pic the V8 Supercar Volvo too?

Dan Greenawalt said in an interview with OutsideXbox that there are BTCC and WTCC cars coming too as part of their 'Touring Car League' (in the career I presume he means) - I'm wondering if one will be the AMD Ford Focus NGTC based on this tweet from January:

Not quite sure why there is a pickup (new F150 Raptor?) where it says Track Day on the Showcases page though scratch
Certainly wouldn't be my first choice of a Ford product for a Track Day unless it was some sort of dirt/baja style track.

It should be noted that says 2014 Volvo #1 Volvo Polestar Racing S60 STCC. That is the Swedish Touring Car Championship. I don't know how the specs might differ, but it's worth noting.

One wish:

That they include enough different makes/models of each genre as to avoid everything becoming a Spec Cup. If you include a 1990s Trans Am car, include four different models. If you include a 1970s F1 car, you need at least two or three of them.
