I for one have learnt alot from this and will take that into sebring

i can vouch for this as my phone was also going off like crazy, and people staying up all way through the night trying 2 help keep things running smoothly, gotta give Credit where its due, BigBen stayed up all way through the 24 hours, as i passed out on the 20 hour mark haha, but yeah, great series and lets move forward Very Happy

Mikey J, you said you lost Collin early in the week, but my question is why wasn't there a call for additional help if your primary organizer is no longer going to be available? That's move #1.

I understand what you're saying about new staff, first event, so on and so forth. We're only saying these things because we care greatly about our racing. I just hope we see some of these changes implemented for Sebring.

we did lose collin early in the week and we have been working hard to try and get this right and I think it went reasonably well, just a few things that we will need to implement in sebring

I really don't understand what takes so long to input the data. It doesn't take more than 5 minutes to write the numbers down, send them to whoever is working the doc, and input them. Time management for this event was absolutely abysmal, and the driving standards were no better. I'll be frankly surprised if anyone off the podium says they enjoyed this event - it was honestly the worst TEC event ever hosted on this website in just about every aspect. But hey, let's see if the act gets cleaned up in time for Sebring.

Also, I was told that the TLR car turned around due to missing the pits in a stint, so I'm not sure why that's not being investigated at the very least. On that note, congrats to HCR Scuderia!

It doesn't take much more than 4 or 5 minutes, true. Issues compound when either the docs manager or stint hosts are in a stint, or in some cases a double stint, and even more when the lobby host finishes his stint, gets his data, and goes off to bed before submitting them.

However, there's a simple remedy for some of this (although the last one is most confounding to me) and we're already discussing ways to make timing go better smoother and quicker next time around.

Preparation is key, and that is the one single element I am working on "how to better" ourselves.

Glad to see a Live Stream is regarded as singular credible evidence. Such a craps shoot what you see, and it isn't even an accurate assessment of the situation. I'd be surprised to have any more Griptek cars in these events at this rate. Those who race with me often know a have a pretty long string of tolerance, so this post should speak pretty loud about the state of things.

A LMP1 car was definitely going the wrong way across the Daytona grass at one point, I can't recall which stint this was exactly but it was one of the first 3 I would guess. There was a considerable amount of discussion in the TORA stream chat about it. Couldn't tell you which team apart from the fact it was a R18.

1. What they failed to catch is that he was blocked while trying to pit and chucked a Corvette into the pits instead. He got thrown onto the grass and just turned it around to get it in the pits. He never joined the track backwards at any point.

2. Principally, no one should EVER get penalized when the only evidence given is the Live Stream. One person may get caught doing something, but others get off scott-free. From what I heard, this wasn't the only instance of this happening.

1. if he was suppodely blocked by a Vette, Sit behind it and pit, common Sense tbh, and there was alot of talk about it, if we cant give penalties out for TEC people will abuse everything the Rules stand for, I.E some Teams trying to do only 3 pit stop strategies yes i saw it and called them on it Smile

2. others have not gotten off scott-free look at the Penalty thread, there even maybe more penalties to be added, but i have been away for 2 long and couldnt help hunty on this.

but until then give us time and we will review this why keep saying it in a General Discussion and not in the Stewards Decisions Thread it self,

not been a douche just yano seems like ya crying for someone to say oh this shouldnt be a penalty Smile

so please just go through Myself or Hunty im sure 1 of us can help

1 thing i will say im not 2 sure if Noodle remembers this, but he came past me on the outside just before pit entry and swerved right infront off me to get into the pits, either cracking timing or generally just luck, but either way if i was 1 ft further up he would off been span out,

GT's have been told to hold there lines and not move, so we stay low on the straights or to the Left, if the LMP's wanna desperately get into the pits maybe stick behind the GT until he realizes you want that line for the Pits, its not me been stupid, its common sense i think i was in a 3 way battle in GT's and i needeed 2 pit before them cause i did an early pit before, and i was in the middle so i let off and swing in, saves Accidents and problems for ya self. It doesn't matter whether or not he should have tried it. He missed the pit because of an incident, so he stayed on the grass and recovered into the pits without ever crossing back onto the track.

As a fellow Marshall and Steward, it's an embarrassment that someone can get away with a severely righteous call based on 1 piece of uncredible evidence without proper investigation or review about what happened and why.

This is the decision of the head steward and staff it was seen clear as day driving the wrong way even if off the track he was still driving the wrong way.

correct procedure is to continue on and pit on the next lap. if that was done in real racing the whole car would have been disqualified.

If you have evidence of any other pm me and i will have a look at it. I cannot hand out any penalties unless there is evidence.

its his word vs everyone elses if thats the case, and what happens if everyone says yes he was coming backwards, but off the track, if i was to off done that, i would of just backed out of the stint, cause i know id lose the Stint anyways, you just said there was no Incident but a Corvette blocking his entry to the pits due to the Corvette either staying low or going into the pits himself, No 1 else has had this issue but Iceman, and from what i was told, he turned around on the first corner and came all the way back on the grass.

It pisses me off that there was no proper investigation to what happened, and you seem to refuse a proper review.

Hey everyone, I heard TLR Overdrive missed a pit. Let's all agree so the stewards hand him a penalty.

If word is good enough, why isn't what I say treated the same as those accusations against him? AT NO POINT WAS xl IC3MaN412 lx contacted for an explanation as to what happened. Ask LMR Harmonic, he was follow them at the time of the incident and can confirm what I said. Ask BigBen, who, as I've been told, was the car who got pushed into the pit. My evidence is the same as yours, the Stream. If it's dismissed an uncredible in my case, it shouldn't be credible in yours.

I don't see a full DQ as a reasonable penalty for resolving an accident in the safest way possible. It would have been more dangerous for him to rejoin the track at the fastest section with a damaged car and then run an entire lap.
