All are N/A 2ltr Super 2000 Touring Cars. Just like the BTCC, some cars are ''national homologation'' S2000 cars, like the VW and the Volvo. Well... the Volvo was untill it started racing in the WTCC.

The STCC will either be running a) full NGTC, b) RWD 400hp variant of NGTC or c) RWD, Belgian Touring Car style Sillhouettes in the next few years.

BTCC style NGTC is the favourite at the moment.

But for now, all the cars are pure S2000.

Looks like the STCC has more BTCC champions than the BTCC has!

Ok, the season opener at the Jyllandsringen (sp?) is today, i'm trying desperately to find a stream! Bear with me!

Qualifying was close. Rustad took the pole with Gorranson splitting the two Volvo's in second. Thompson is third, Watt fourth and Rydell in the first of the Chevrolet's fifth. CT is down in eighth, but he did manage to out qualify Flash, who is 10th!

Turkington was 8th as Nicky said and they have a similar quali format to F1 with a final 8 shootout and Turkington was 1.5 seconds off of pole after complaining of a loss of grip during his final quali run so i think he should be closer in the race, it looks like it's going to be such a great season wish i was in Sweden to watch it

From what I see from the replay it looks like the steering column snapped, Thats only what I see in that replay, there's no noise in that replay (possibly not made to hear anyway), Theres a lot of locked brake early on too...

Göransson reported that he suddenly lost pressure in the brake pedal.

scary stuff. hope he gets better soon.
