Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
I believe at about 7:40am EST / 4:40am PST if I am reading and converting the times from their website correctly.
Right now I am listening to the WRC radio. http://www.wrc.com/fanzone/world-rally-radio/
Good way to kill time until F1 qualifying starts, then hopefully I can follow the SPA race as well, although I do have some Forza racing to do while that will be going on.

Ugh, 5:40 AM? Why does the world of motorsport hate people who live in California? I'm watching FP2 that I missed last night, then planning on watching FP3 and then qualy, and I guess I'm just not going to bed tonight if Spa starts an hour after that.

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Yeah I may have screwed up too I think it's actually an hour earlier, F1 qualifying should go past the start of the race. It is saying 1:40pm for the start time and it says GTM +1 which I believe is supposed to mean GMT +1 which is 6 hours ahead of me, making the start time 7:40am EST.

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Really? The ACO couldn't have checked to see when F1 was scheduled and made the race start not conflict with it? Come on guys...

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Well it's just qualifying for F1, the actual races are a full day apart.

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
That's true, but you'd think that the people who watch LMS/ILMC would be the kind of people who also watch F1 FP and qualy. Or at least that's what I'd think, but I might be biased considering I'm planning out how I'm going to stay up for about 36 straight hours to watch all of this.

C'est en francais. But RLM seems to be in sync with it.
Suspiciously, the Peugeot stream keeps jumping from the Live world feed to one of the 908 on boards.

Not THAT suspicious. It is a Peugeot-produced show, so it makes sense for them to show on-board footage most of the time.
However, it is very annoying.

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Anybody know what the deal is with Aston Martin? They were only supposed to be able to miss one ILMC round (Sebring). If the AMR-One is race ready, why didn't they race one of the Lola coupes they used last year?

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Great race so far pegeout very quick great sports car racing :-) Aston Martin have discovered engine design fault on new protoype so they are fixing the engines before le mans also they can't enter last year car as they are registered for le mans in new LMP Prototype, no idea why the ace can't balance petrol & desiel still but hey a least Audi are coupes this year, p2 straka leading due to strategy and not power, gte pro Rob Bell leading, BMW won't show true pace like last year they don't want huge resterictors for le mans.
Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
After that crash you all can now thank the ACO for putting shark fin's on the cars. as ugly as they are, it's purpose was just proven.

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Huge off. Good thing the car wasn't open topped otherwise Christophe might not have a head.
Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Here are my thought after 1/2 the race:
I think Audi is sand bagging to avoid the ACO nerfing their cars for Le Mans. As for the diesel v petrol, there isn't really a top petrol team there. I'd withhold judgement on that until the P1 HPD can race them. If Highcroft can't race this season, I hope Honda can find another team to run a car at Petit Le Mans. Sadly, the Pescarolo seems to still be too slow.
Audi was also able to run the R15 at Sebring for their ILMC entry and now they are running the R18. I don't see why Aston Martin cannot do the same other than the fact that Pro Drive is in over their heads trying to run the new Mini WRC campaign along with their sports car program. Honestly, the AMR-One seems like a half baked effort. It was terrible at Paul Ricard and the Le Mans test and as one of the 3 big factory efforts, they should not be grenading engines every 30 miles. You don't see R18s or 908s blowing their engines. Compared with their Lola effort, it doesn't even seem like the same team, performance wise or aesthetically. The Lola Aston was the best looking prototype on the grid. The AMR-One looks like a box.
I also really hope that the ACO sets the HPDs free. Its not fair that they are being held back like this to compensate for how dominate they were last year. I do however appreciate the snide and passive aggressive way that Strakka are dealing with it. When asked about how they get such great fuel milage, they responded that when you are making no power, you aren't using much gas.
Finally, Turn 10 better be watching and taking notes. Spa, the 908, the R18, the 458GT, and the Pescarolo need to be in Forza 4.

Re: ILMC Round 2 1000km SPA
Dunc.....theyve always done that...
Audi put the willies up them though...stopped them getting a 1-2-3 obviously. they may not be close, dont think Audi will win le mans.
IF they were indeed "Sandbagging" however, Audi are teaching Peugeot a lesson in rule manipulation.... or maybe not.... TO LE MANS!!!
