Just my 2 cents.

I would like to second this idea, going at 7pm uk time would work brilliant for me, but unfortunately not for others like chaddy who finishes work at 8 and most of the time misses qually.

It has been a blast and see you in the ISCC.

Worst round scores are dropped so look at the green numbers that is what your real points are. so last week spartain got 20 points and this week he got 36 where as you last week got 33 and this week 25. This making the worse (the one in bold) meaning you have 33 points and spartain has 36 points

No idea where to put this but as a newish driver with no team...I've plumped for in here....

I'm not happy....nope you heard I'm not happy....my Lamborghini is just way to slow Smile

So the Team at Garage. Awesome. / Air Asia stayed at the Roa Atlanta Track for extensive testing in the Gallardo to try and solve the dreadful lack of straight line pace.

Rounds 1 and 2 saw me repeatedly loose Porksword and Ozzy on the long straight and the vitafone Aston drove past me with such ease. Rounds 3 & 4 I appeared to be right on the pace in the corners often catching cars in the twistes but loosing all my pace on the long straight.. The Mclaren just breezed past me!

So, the team have tested with various gear ratios and downforce settings an although slight improvements were made..it's just not enough!

So, an overnight brainstorm has seen the car loose it's engine and replaced with a Supercharged lump boosting the power from a measly 560bhp up towards the class limit where it now sits at 597bhp... A 37bhp gain as well as 25lbs of tourque...ok so to keep within the class PI it's had to gain some weight but the extra power has hopefully transformed the car and will hopefully drag its sorry ass towards the top 20 in the Catalunya Rounds 5 & 6.

Fingers crossed Smile

I really think having 16 players just doesn't work well consistently enough to make it worth the trouble. 12 - 13 seems to be a happy medium where T10's horrible online system seems to work the best.

On a side note I don't know why I couldn't connect as I haven't changed anything, but next time I will not be sitting out just so everyone doesn't have to wait any longer.

Nice work Driftollie, that's really cool to see newer members not throwing in the towel early and continuing to strive and maximise the builds and tunes as the season progresses.

I have done exactly the same to the weismann for each track so far and found a little extra according to the track than I thought was initially there. Loads of testing and rebuilds later ;O)

One tip, keep an eye out for the lateral g's as this is a good indication of grip. I made loads of power builds without paying much attention to this, then happened to make a power build later on and somehow had a much higher lateral g number than previous power builds. I now always check this in comparison to my other builds.

By the way, there are a few people being investigated for continually cutting corners last night. Results are TBC.

That is agreeable, rather than changing the time just drop the lobbies down to 12 or something, this will probably help a lot. I don't think the game can handle 16 cars with full paintjobs, it is a lot of stress.

im free from sun at about 2pm for testing if you like.

I hosted lobby C round 3/4 last sunday and our lobby had no lag issues and all paint jobs loaded 1st off for all cars on both races, so i do think i can host a good lobby and as always i dont mind hosting, although it looks like i will be missing the next 2 meets as i am away on a course in winchester for the whole of Feb Sad well from the 6th so i can just about squeeze in the ISCC race on the 5th Smile

Unrelated...

I just FINALLY got my Camaro to hit the power/PI cap; 599hp, 690PI. How long did that take me? One whole hour of fiddling around with engine upgrade/swap combinations. Still waay above the weight limit though (don't worry, it's still legal)
And does it make a difference? No.

Not really.

There's a 'Race what you want' night this Sunday but it would also be an ideal opportunity to test out various lobby numbers and situations on a Sunday night when we don't have to race officially throughout maintenance

Post by Biggsy tv Fri 27 Jan 2012 - 9:14

Right, after reviewing the replays, I found that numerous people were skipping over turn 3 alot. The track limits are the painted lines at either side of the tarmac, which when most people have tried their utmost to not go over the apexs too much and keeping two wheels on the track then these people would've had an advantage, especially if they did it consistently.

After consultation with staff I have decided to give one final warning to those who have been cutting corners, that at Catalunya this will not be allowed. I have warned enough times about the track limits. If it happens by accident thats fair enough, but consistently jumping 4 wheels over the curbs is corner cutting.

I have show videos to the staff regarding 1 person who cut turn 3 nearly every lap, but I won't "name and shame". Just take it that everyones racecraft will be reviewed from Catalunya. Common places that can cut are turns 1+2, turn 7, and the final complex of 5 or so corners, especially the chicane. You must keep 2 wheels on the tarmac guys! Most people already do this, and its unfair if I keep letting those who cut corners to get away with it for so long.

With catalunya, if I end up cutting the final complex its completely by accident and slows me down, so when reviewing the footage just be sure its a malicious corner cut, and not somebody being a goofball and braking too late

As stated in the rules, if its a case of corner cutting to avoid a collision, or messing the corner up, its fine. If its a cut which gains position, keeps an otherwise impossible position (ie they wouldve passed you if you had just followed the track perfectly, but cutting keeps position) or gains alot of time, thats a cut, and you get 5 of these allowed without penalty.
