Man, those DW12's have been hitting the wall like that all month.

Power seemed to punt the car from it's side on angle.

Both Carpenter and Kimball who've hit the wall like that have done the same half roll towards the fence.

And Helio missing that bouncing wheel.. Wow.

Foyt saying the front wing broke in the pitlane hitting a mechanic, thus causing conway to spin and collect Power in turn 1, why didn't they change it in the first place?!

It was a fantastic race.

It's such a great shame that many don't quite 'get' Indy anymore, that it's reputation has been somewhat tarnished. Dario's win has not been reported here at all here in the UK. And if it has, it's very hard to find, even despite the fact that it's been a year since Dan won that race, and the fact that Dario has one three of them.. And here we have more coverage being given to Lewis Hamilton's dumb girlfriend.. It's an ''absolute fricken joke.''

But Indy is still Indy, it still deserves to be part of racing's triple crown. Definitely. It's gone underestimated, misunderstood and misrepresented over the past decade. The race was much more enjoyable than the Monaco Grand Prix today.

Franchitti can be spoken in the same terms as Clark, Stewart & McRae.

Probably the best all around 500 I've seen. Now I'm even more excited for next year, when we hopefully have a number of different aero packages competing!

Best overall race I can remember and that is a looong time.

Can't believe some people are blaming Franchitti and that he didn't leave Sato room. Have they watched the replays and in car cameras. If Sato was smart he would have waiting and drafted him down the home stretch.

I'll be going to the Texas night race again this year June 9, can't wait. The cars fly though the 24 degrees banked corners with sparks flying.

Enjoy that one, I always look forward to watching the Texas night race! I have to wait until Mid-Ohio to get my IndyCar fix!

After seeing Indy, I can't wait for the kind of racing we will see at Fontana in September...

A few weeks of back to back Indycar racing began with Indy.

This week it's a return to Detroit, the motor city, on the Belle Isle circuit. Once a regular date on the CART season, and in more recent times as part of the Indy Racing League. After a few years away, it's back.


After Detroit, it's back to back oval races with Fort Worth, Texas, a staple of the old IRL calendar, Milwaukee, a classic flat 1-mile oval which is only beaten by Indy in terms of history, and Iowa, a modern newly built oval that always provides crazy racing, in a good way.

Franchitti doesnt seem to have a good car on the road courses this season, yet as always Power is flying.

1. I'm echoing the call of sandbagging on Ganassi. No way they're that slow.

2. Let's hope Hinchcliffe can do what Danica couldn't: Win on a road course.

3. If not Hinchcliffe, I think that Sato deserves to finally win (still remembers Indy).
