I love the concept of the cars, and the reasoning behind the designs - from an engineering viewpoint. However, I don't like the background arguing etc. I too will be trying to watch through the IndyCar through streams - I've only watched the odd race now and again. Shame it's not broadcast properly over here Sad

But then again, who exactly has Sky Sports?

The main beef with most people over the new cars is that Indycar finally had an opportunity to recreate what made Indycar before the 1995 IRL split (and CART and Champ Car later in the decade) so good, where the cars were F1 fast, rather than last years Dallara which was pretty damn slow around the road courses, and they've pretty much blown it from that perspective.

But 2012 will still be very entertaining, we just have to accept that CART ain't coming back anytime soon.

There is the official Indycar website, but the commentary they use is dreadful for keeping track of the race...

...or it WAS when I tried to watch it online a couple of years ago, maybe its changed :-S.

I watched the Indy 500 online a few years back, and it literally was just the IMS Radio commentary + a camera on top of the pagoda panning round the track with the cars... Incredible...

Due to the F1 running over by an hour, St. Pete will be live on the red button on SSF1 at 17:30, and will appear on SSF1 itself at 19:00.

It's also a one off, because all the other channels have commitments to other sports tonight, so this is the only time this season that Indycar will be on SSF1.
