The cars need more power everywhere, 750hp isn't enough!

At least that means the Wheldon 500 cars will be of a comparable speed now!

Man, the pace car has more power than the Indycars. The Indycars are only running 570hp... Robin Miller makes a great anecdote about Will Power asking him what the 3, 2, 1 markers before each turn at Indy were for..



1000hp and less downforce, it's the only way to save Indycar.

Get rid of the wings, jack the HP over 1,000, and bring the apron back to all 4 corners at Indy...tell me that wouldn't make the 500 "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" again.

240+ down the straights, braking on entry (unless you have huge balls), and drifitng across the apron. That's what we need at Indy!

It needs to be a true competition again. They need people building full cars and taking on Indy with the fastest single seater oval racing car they can make within the rules.

Indycar should be like it used to, an American parallel to F1.

Practice Day 6. Dragon Racing get out on track with the Chevrolet engines, and Scott Dixon goes fastest.

It was Pole Day at Indy today. Hinchcliffe went fastest with a 225.746, ahead of Will Power and Ryan Hunter-Reay. There were three pretty major incidents today. Bryan Clauson, Oriol Servia and Ed Carpenter all managed to find the wall. Clauson went into the wall hard in the first shoot, Servia managed to find the end of the pit wall and Carpenter went into the turn 2 wall very hard while trying to get back into the field after being bumped.

James Hinchcliffe qualified with a glove of Greg Moore's in his suit.

Funny at how competitive Andretti Autosport is this year. I had always heard excuses for The Danica that Andretti Autosport sucks, the team personnel sucks, the equipment sucks, etc... yet w/o Her the GoDaddy car is a legitimate contender for the win every week.

Chevrolet, Honda and Lotus have all expressed interest.

Rumours of Swift, McLaren, Ferrari and Boeing among others.. Which makes good sense. Being able to develop the aero kit for a car, without having to build the entire chassis allows companies to use Indycar to train aerodynamicists in a real competition environment. Almost like Formula SAE on steroids!

In the states you can watch ESPN on the xbox and see live Indy 500 in car camera feeds. Also if your ISP has it you can get the same on espn3.com (in the states).
