Those guys are the ones that do the Indycar radio broadcast. Mis-identified cars and drivers a couple of times. First time I've heard them be so bad.

38th running of the Long Beach Grand Prix this weekend should be a good one. Live on NBC Sports network April 15 at 3:30pm EST.

Hard to believe I was at the very first one in 75, which was F5000 race to prove an F1 race would work.

Check out some of the names on the 1975 entry list:

The penalty is too much for season when they have all new cars, engines etc. Everyone agreed to these penalties at the start of the season to help control costs so they just need to get it all worked out.

In F1 they only give 5 grid positon penalties, while in NASCAR they can send you to the back of grid for a engine change.

The racing has been very good this year so far and with just about everything new I'm giving them this year to get the bugs worked out.

Damn, now that is an impressive entry list.

That may be 11+ years before I existed, but I recognize over half the names, and for good reason.

This years Long Beach entry is pretty well stacked also.

Ya, and the formula F5000 car was a pretty bad as car in it's day. Had a chevy 5.0 V8, huge tires and wings, lots of HP and weighed in at like 1400 lbs.

What I wouldn't give to rip around Mid-Ohio, or Road America, or Road Atlanta, etc.... in ^that beauty^

It might as well be Radio Le Mans when compared to the coverage by ABC.

In fairness to them, there was a Brazilian director, rather than the usual setup of NBC Sports being in control of graphics and on boards.
