Suggestions for a new mini-series
Hello people of TORA! Just want to present a few ideas for a new mini-series to take place after the Clio Cup & Mini GT Series.
DTM:
Simple enough, a DTM series that involves the Audi A4 DTM Car & the Mercedes DTM car. Unsure about the Opel though. Races take place weekly on a variety of tracks using the full courses. Such as Hockenheim, Nurburgring GP, Catalunya, Suzuka & more. Races last about an hour with 2 mandatory pitstops?
WTCC:
Basically just a beefed up version of the TCC utilising cars that are FWD & RWD. More powerful machines & bigger tracks. With 2 races that includes a rolling start & a standing start. Reverse grids with the point scoring system that's used in the WTCC
IndyCar
Inspiration taken from the Wheldon 500. Using the Acura ARX-02a on a variety of oval & road courses such as Indianapolis & Infineon. Perhaps this could mimick the TASCAR Series?
Radical SR-8 Cup
Everyone in the Radical, hour long races that include 1 mandatory pitstop. Events can take place on circuits around Europe, like the Bernese Alps, Silverstone & Catalunya.
Japanese Sports Car Cup
Using Japanese cars from manufacturers such as Nissan, Mitsubishi & Subaru. Upgrade them in such a way that they look are evenly matched. Maybe have the same characteristics as Touring Cars? And let them loose around Japanese tracks like Suzuka, Tsukuba & Motegi. One USA round & one European round.
These are just thoughts that came to me & some cars mentioned in the series might not be balanced in comparison to the rest of the cars. Feel free to suggest your own thoughts & idea's

the EZT members who were present for a couple of the test sessions have now adopted some of the rules for a one off Indy500-parallel race, If you want to end up using this format then by all means

Close enough :-S.
I think the trouble with running a DTM style series in TORA is that I dont think anyone would really want to with just the Audi and the Merc, the Opel is a N24 car, as is the Audi TT, even though they were two of the original DTM-rennaisance.

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Thanks for the heads up Adrian, I think the DTM series would be quite good, the Clio Cup is going very well, using just one car model. If people tried it I think they would be surprised by how fun they are. However, these are all suggestions & I welcome feedback all the time.

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
The American in me would like to see a Vintage Trans Am Series:
1964 Mustang
1964 GTO
1968 Barracuda
1968 Shelby GT Mustang
1968 Firebird
1969 Camaro
1969 Trans Am
1970 Cougar Eliminator
1970 Mustang
1970 Challenger
1971 Cuda
AMC Javelin
Set an HP range as well as a weight range ala TCC, as well as downforce, roll cage and tire regs. I have messed with some of these cars, and with the right set of regs, lots of cars can be competitive and they can be anywhere from too easy to dam near impossible to drive.

WTCC would get my vote too, Would be good seeing how balanced the various wheel drives could be balanced with each other.

Race Pro is dead cheap, and far superior to Forza 4.

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
OK then Chad, what cars would you use for a forza based WTCC? Because I dont think there are any WTCC cars in the game, and you are probably going to end up with the same cars as the TORA TCC anyways...[/buzzkillington]

Agreed, as I was under the impression that TCC was the Forza equivalent to WTCC to begin with.
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Would anyone be interested in a JDM Cup run similar to the Vtec Cup i did before but with cars from Subaru, Toyota , Nissan and others?
Alot like the Clio Series with set builds and near stock so Japan like tracks?
Any takers?

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
^ I feel that the AWD of Subaru would make balancing that formula difficult-to-impossible. Otherwise, a balance of FWD/RWD JDM cars could be quite viable.

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
I think a WTCC on Forza 4 could be fabricated in some way. Maybe the BMW 135i, Chevy Cobalt, SEAT '10 & Focus ST '13. Can even add a few Honda's or the Renault Megane maybe? Ive just chucked these cars out there I have no idea how these will stack up against each other when it comes to balancing the car. Make them more powerful than TCC but less powerful then the current GT cars. The PI could be around 620?
At the moment I see the TCC as more of a BTCC. I hope someone like Codemasters could pick up the rights to something like this. Maybe a TOCA 4? Although, we've still to see what C.A.R.S might give us.

Porsche Supercup...
Pro Class - No aids, no driving lines, locked cockpit view.
Am Class - All the usual TORA rules + 10% power handicap.

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Hmm, no WTCC then. I like The Japanese sports car idea.
What about a one ''Model family' series, ie. all BMW M cars, Skylines, Civics, and such like?

Liking the Porsche Supercup idea. It could be a support race to the TCC

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
With a Nurburgring Nordschleife season finale, just like the world cup race they have
Might be an idea to include some kind of regional cup idea into it too (i.e, South England, North England and Wales, Scotland, East North America, West North America etc..)
