Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
We'll be looking to bridge the gap between TCC seasons soon, so the Porsche Supercup may be ideal to fill that gap.

Power hanidcaps could be put on the carsFlyin Mikey J wrote:More of a one-off idea than an outright series, but I'd love to do something like this...

Now how to adapt it to Forza is another story. 100 PI? 5,000 Cr before certain allowed upgrades with adjusted PI? Track would have to be slow enough to, as the real Lemons race tracks are capped at 80 MPH.

Stock tires, stock brakes, no aero...
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
I'm thinking that when it comes to the cars for a mini series, spec cars with locked spec tunes may be a good way to go. Testing and tuning is a lot of work, and while I have nothing but respect for the top tuners, I tire of always getting beat by someone who had their expert tuner friend tune their car for them. And being a mini series, nobody should have to spend days tuning their car for each track.
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
I agree so much! I was thinking of running DTM there would be no tunes or upgrades allowed so it comes down to the driver alone
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
I like spec series that have very little to no tuning options, like our Abarths or Mazdas. They has street/sport equipment which gave you no room for tuning. You may see something return in the downtime between TCC seasons.
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Maybe in something different? There is a spec series for Mustangs in the National Association of Sport Automobiles. I'd suggest the 2005 GT model, with all "Sport" Handling/Drivetrain/Tire upgrades. Maybe throw in an exhaust upgrade for sound quality. Trust me, these cars would showcase racing talent, and have enough power to be fun to drive.
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Can't remember all of the models in the game, but a VW cup? Golf, Polo and one other, stock tune for each model and essentially three different classes in one championship?
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
The sound good, I'd do that
I was watching top gear the other day, no surprise. And it was the how hatch 1, where they go to Monaco, I was thinking what about a DS3 cup? Stock car even though it's D it's still great fun

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
I like the idea thatw as put forward a little while ago of having small cars with low power as race series, like mini TCC.

Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Whatever we end up racing, we better make up our mind quick. Just looked at the calender, and it's rather dark for Mondays-Fridays. Other than GT, TASCAR and ISCC, there is absolutely nothing on the schedule.

Lookit you there, Mr Italia . Don't get yourself bogged down too much with all of those nifty ideas now. Maybe after the move in October and things are more stable on my end I can consider offering to co-ordinate something new for everyone.
We shall see.

Seeing as most of the TCC/NATCC field is hatches, you shoulda tried it
Re: Suggestions for a new mini-series
Richy, if I can come up with a build for a US based Spec Series, and run it by you guys for approval, would it be possible for me to host it for a US friendly time slot? I have a couple ideas in mind, but want to further test them out before I commit.
