The Scirocco R may be DLC, but it's the free sample of its pack I believe.

Are we pretty much there with the list now? If you're happy to sign off, we can announce the car list tonight.

Just to make sure that's what you want, that's 12 of each car, before you even think about privateers. Assuming we're sticking at 4-driver teams.
If you want to "force" a bit of diversification, you could either make it allocations of 2 teams (8 cars, plus x privateers), or could knock the team size down to 3 and have 3 team allocations per car (9 cars, plus x privateers)??
Could I also request/suggest we put an entry cap on, otherwise I may go nuts!
Another point raised in the staff thread that I could throw out for discussion is making your first registration "concrete". i.e. no driver, team name, or car swaps once you've signed up. Should force people to think a bit more before registering half-baked teams and changing every 2 secs (bane of my existence).

TCC was 3 drivers per team in previous seasons I believe?

I am pretty sure that is true

Would it be a good idea to add to the rules and regulations that downloading the free sample car for EVERY pack is recommended (to avoid the dreaded Black Bora issues!)

It has always been teams of 4 and last season the limit was 2 cars to each team but a privateer was classed as a team

Yeh, just want to make sure we're on the same page.
Also, see my edit re: entry cap etc please!!

TCC was definitely 3 last season

We'd have entered 4 cars teams if they'd been allowed, so we entered lots of 3 car teams instead

Yes it was 3 to a team last season. 4 to a team is a GT thing. I can up the Teams to 4 drivers, but there will be no Privateers just like last Season. If you sign up in a single car, that means a car allocation is gone. This should mean people will team up together for a car rather than running 1-2 car entries. I hope.
Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
I don't mind either way (preference for 3x3) as long as it's not so open that we have the entire field in half a dozen types of car!!
If the balance is really there, then there shouldn't be any real reason not to tightly restrict the allocations.
There are 31 cars on the list. If you allow 3 teams of each, that's a potential 279 drivers right there!!!

That sounds like a perfectly reasonable addition to the rules - after announcement there's plenty of time to sort drivers and preferred cars.
EDIT - One thing to add.....such a rule would make the upcoming Aston GT team re-branding against the rules if this was to be rolled out universally for future series
Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
It was 2 last season and it really shook things up and we saw many different types of cars winning races, hopefully there doesn't become a stand out car however and all we see is 6 Megans topping every track. I'm happy to take it back down to 2.
We could put an initial cap on the series at 100 drivers?
There should be just under 2 weeks for the cars to be tested before registration opens. This should allow for testing and team organising to take place, however as we all know too well people will constantly change their minds.
We could re-open registration after the first round for a week or so, then close it again before the next round and continue like that so no changes can be made a week before each race or something.

Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
Or we lock everything in after initial sign ups, and then have a mid season window for any changes that want to take place and new sign ups?
Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
I would still have car allocations for privateers, some people just don't want the hassle of running in a team.
Plus people will take a car allocation for themselves, just run it once or twice and quit. This has stopped maybe a committed team starting in it instead.

If we put it at 2 teams of 3, that's a potential 186 drivers - much closer to our current level of GT registrations. If you were to have seperate privateer allocations, I'd limit it to 1 per car but I prefer the "encouraged" team building.
Mid-season "transfer window" could work, if we time it during a "week off" from TCC racing.

Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
How about 2 Teams of 3 Drivers and Two Privateers. There is no worry that the TCC will gain anywhere near the numbers of Drivers as the GTs consistently, and if we limit it to 100 Driver initially then we won't go higher.
Could have a 3 week break in the middle instead of the regular two weeks to have the mid season window?

It's more the initial sign-up. You're potentially opening up to 62 solo drivers who'll jump into teams, or vice versa.

Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
I like Chris' idea that once they've picked a car that is it and they are stuck with it. I don't like switching cars at all, it just means they didn't test pre-season. Someone shouldn't be rewarded for their laziness or watching a replay.
Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
Alright, final thoughts then:
Car Allocation
2 Cars available to Teams of 3 Drivers
2 Cars available to Privateers.
Total of 8 cars of the same type in the series, hopefully this will lead to some variety.
Series Registration
Entries are final and 'locked-in' so you may not change cars or change Team Drivers after the initial entry is posted. Make sure that you are 100% happy with your Car and Driver selection. There will be a mid-season 'window' which will open on the 17th of April 2013 at 8pm GMT where you may change Cars or Drivers within the Team without penalty. This will close on the 24th of Arpil at 8pm GMT. If any changes are to be made out side of this 'window' then you will face an automatic 10% points penalty for any changes to the Car selection or Driver line up.
Entry to the first half of the Season will close on Sunday the 3rd of March and will then re-open during the mid-season window.
There is a Registration cap off 100 drivers initially for this series.
