After last nights testing I will be bring all the RWD cars up to 575 - including the BMWs - but I would like another night of testing maybe tomorrow night before I make a final decision.

Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
Done laps in all the cars with tunes from BG Dr Green. I found FWD cars separated by 1 second (excluding the 02' Integra and the Astra).
In RWD at 575 I personally thought they are too fast now. I am normally slower in RWD compared to FWD yet my 3 fastest times came in RWD cars (Insignia VXR, Volvo S60 and Scion FR-S). The Insignia I found to be half a second quicker than any FWD car. The Insignia VXR, Volvo S60 and Scion FR-S along with the 2 BMW's I feel are too fast when considering they already gain an advantage with the standing starts. Saying this the other RWD cars are on pace, if not slightly on the slow side at PI 575.
Here is the list of all the times I managed in every car.

Remove the scion frs, doesn't fit and would require its own pi in order to be balanced. I already found it quicker than any other rwd and one of the quickest overall but you have given it 5 more p.i now.

Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
Yeah the FR-S will be removed.
I want to sign this list off today, I'm very happy with the cars at PI 580 for FWD and PI 575 for RWD. I understand so of you guys are really quick in the 135i but I was always slower in it and whilst racing against it the car was never up front and walking away with it. I'd like to be proven wrong however.

Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
Sounds good Richy, I think RWD is in that 570-575 region somewhere, so I think 575 will work out OK, and bring more of the RWD cars into a competitive position. And glad the FR-S has been removed, I think it would be easy to build 'special' custom versions of that for each race that would give it an unfair advantage.

I personally found quite a few fwd cars faster than the faster rwd's (insignia and 135i) excluding the scion.

Agreed!
The advantage of the RWD cars is their superior starting prowess but I'm happy there are numerous FWD's that are capable of slightly quicker lap times than the quickest RWD's.
Re: TCC Season 7 (Q1 2013) Testing - Phase 2 Open - *** Car List & Testing Instructions on Page 1 ***
I found myself going much quicker in a lot of FWD cars over the RWD. Maybe a combination of them being Road Cars and most of them are converted AWD cars, but for the first time since I got my wheel I have been more comfortable in FWD. Really enjoy driving them compared to last season, I think that front splitter has made a huge difference.
The RWD cars do indeed get a huge advantage at the start, but with the manual grid starts there is also some human error to factor in, plus once the FWD cars get up to temperature they seem to be better overall. They also race better as in close quarters the RWD cars are quite unstable.
Sound a lot like the real BTCC then
I will be putting the rules and regulations together today, then if there are no complaints by the end of the day I will release the rules. I need to adjust the calendar slightly dates wise - but are we all in favour of seeing Sebring Club take the place of Maple Valley? Just as a reminder, all tracks used in this Season won't be in next Season, so Maple valley will just be moved to next season.

Final draft posted, changes in Bold. I have also removed the Scirocco GT as the Scirocco R is on the list, however it is DLC. I am not against leaving the GT there as an option.
