Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Sorry, it was meant to be 3rd party rims to bring it up to the PI. You are correct, people may put heavier wheels on and widen their tyres by a bit, but they are adding not only weight with wheels but also with width.
I hate enforcing stock wheels as they can't be painted, but to make it easier and fairer I can either enforce the stock wheels or enforce a wheel of my choosing. This will be stated on the build.
Regarding the 'old' M3 this car was manufactured over the last few years in the current regulations and raced from 2009-2012. It didn't stop racing a decade ago like the Panoz which is built to a completely different set of regulations.
We considered the R15 and R15++but didn't see the need as the R18 was setting competitive lap times.
We can only do what we can with the video game we have, the new Z4 GTE isn't even built yet so we have to make do with what we have.

I think this is the easiest solution, and makes sure that the builds are adhered to.

Tested two P1 cars so far, quite even at low 1:46 after a few laps. So expect to see 1:45 or even lower.Richy59 wrote:Cars were running 1:47s in P1 - but with some tuning we are looking at the 1:46s we think.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I've just went through all the cars and build them to the PIs with Stock wheels, so all cars must run with Stock wheels for this series so we can enforce Tyre Width.

Sorry for pointing out some very elementary math, but Sebring is just 4 weeks away
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Will we be able to "name" the Lola's something else like last year? For instance calling the Honda/Lola a BMW powered Crawford?
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion

On the car list state the following with Porsche:
Porsche 911 GT3-RSR (Newest version) - PI 766 - Race Brakes, Race Driveline, 305 Front Tyre Width, 330 Rear Tyre Width.
But if you have the upgrades installed then the is PI not 766 but 767.

I know car list is the same for Le Mans. But will the builds also be the same for Le Mans?

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
So happy to see less power restrictions this time around.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I admit, the lack of cars is somewhat underwhelming. I guess it reflects actual Le Mans, but still...

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
still think Audi R8 should be there in GTE, great car, sounds great, look great, quick in the right hands, and it's raced within the last 2 years, like the BMW M3, but i don't expect it to join, but it'd be a good addition
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
@ Hailfire: would you rather have had more cars on the list, and those extra cars not being up to par with what's on the current list?
with this being Sebring, we're using cars from ISCC for obvious reasons, but some were omitted from this list as they don't have the legs for this track, or we're faster than everything else. the cars that might be missing here at Sebring (and Le Mans; not sure if any car will be added to the list) would most likely be on the Car List for the regular ISCC season

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Like I said, I am happy seeing the lack of restrictions on any car I was thinking of using...
It is possible that with the influx of more cars, restrictions would be ramped up to equalize the class.

I like having the M3 back, I was sad that it wasn't aloud for the GT champ this season.... Now I can be Joey Hand
