Re: Project CARS.
I prefer Project Marmite hahaha
Still, really good game. There's only two major bugs for me: The steering-lock one and the intermittent sound glitches. I noticed in the Megane it makes very little/no tyre noises so sometimes I'll lock up and fly into the gravel for what seemed like to reason at all.
I'm a bit disappointed in the replay/spectate options. I haven't looked much into it but there doesn't seem to be a free cam, and you can't even choose which car you're looking at.
Last night I had a whirl in some of the classic tourers... MMMM-Hmmm that's how a car should be!

Re: Project CARS.
to answer your question about spectating its on the list of things to add for wmd/sms the only other way you can do it is by joining a race and retiring yourself from the race then.it gives you full spectator mode suitable for broadcasts and you can flick through cars that is the only way untill they add a full spectator mode to the game/sim....Standaman94 wrote:I prefer Project Marmite hahaha

Re: Project CARS.
not really as there will still be the out lap to set the grid as soon as it says go the streamer pause's selects retire and then once he has he can give the go ahead for everyone to move off comz are still open when u retire so there's no issue there and I'm sure the start can be edited not to show the streamer retiring.ShrinkingSteven wrote:However thats still impossible to do things for motors tv

Re: Project CARS.
Also on the subject of liverys most of the cars have at least 15 to 20 options for liverys and its easy to pick them and make sure they show on your car..

Re: Project CARS.
Actually that is not what the journalist said. Whenever you go online, you are given the option of choosing Skill Level, Car Class, Track and Weather (I think). Press A and the game finds a RANDOM match for you (when it works) with all your preferences put to consideration. There isn´t a list with all available lobbies like in the PC/PS4 version.CQR MAGiC wrote:Typical journalistic rubbish, you can join lobbies just fine - go to your friends list/party and select Join Game
Basically, there is no equivalent to user-created lobbies.
I´m really liking this game. The physics, in spite of poor controller feedback (that lock thing), feel correct and logical. There are some WTF moments but they happen to be very rare. Unfortunately the more multiplayer I play the more bugs and issues I find. Whenever someone joins your lobby, the games freezes and causes you to crash. EVERY SINGLE TIME! I still qualify 1st and go to the back of the grid on the race start, Position HUD is glitchy, random disconnects, random errors on matchmaking, unconsistent pits.... the list continues to grown and my fear of nothing getting fixed rises.
I love the single-player though. It works flawlessly.
Multiplayer is great when it works. Unfortunately, it does not.

"Basically, there is no equivalent to user-created lobbies."
Your very much mistaken my friend, let me explain how it works - ALL public lobbies are user created, when you search for a game it will look through all available games that users have created and set to public (and are in a joinable state, i.e. not in the race phase). Its exactly the same setup as Forza 2, where every multiplayer lobby is one created by a user. The only thing missing on Xbox (which is what the journalist was trying to explain and completely messed up) is there is no server browser list on Xbox as Microsoft won't allow it (according to the devs). Instead, it will search through the current available user created lobbies and find one that matches your search criteria (games set to private are obviously excluded).
So for example, if you setup a 2 hour endurance race at LeMans in LMP cars and set it to Public when you create it, that user created lobby becomes part of the matchmaking system - so anyone searching with the appropriate filters MAY be matchmaked into that lobby. Or they can directly join it from friends/party if they already known you, the only thing they can't do is scroll through a list of lobbies and find it that way (i.e. a server browser - SMS have said they want to bring this to Xbox too, but it seems more of a Microsoft issue).

Re: Project CARS.
Yes, when I meant user created lobbies I wanted to say the server browser list that PS4/PC has (apparently). Something along the lines of GRID and FM2 (like you said).
Actually, I said that in my post - "There isn´t a list with all available lobbies like in the PC/PS4 version"
Anyway, my main gripe is that matchmaking isn´t working properly. I just get errors and sometimes it tells I got disconnected from Xbox Live (I don´t). Even if you join a lobby, there is small chance you get a random disconnect, like it happened in the Caterham Test Session.
Don´t get me wrong, but sometimes I wonder if developers actually play their game...
I just hope it gets fixed and I can enjoy it. It has so much potential...but so did FM

Re: Project CARS.
I dont get it. (Dont really care too much either...) but isn't there a server browser in Battlefield? Unless I'm not thinking of the same thing. But in BF Hardline at least, you see a list of server names, how many people in each, what they are playing, settings, etc etc. It's not a big deal to me, just curious what they are talking about if it's not what I'm thinking.

Re: Project CARS.
Headlights are mappable to a button, so yes you can flash them. They don't turn on automatically, however, if you start at night they will be on

Re: Project CARS.
You can manually flash your headlights. well, turn them on and off quickly. The d-pad is quite useful for setting up the additional bits you need.
Re: Project CARS.
Yeah they remembered to put in the important stuff like being able to flash lights, use wipers and stuff and left out all those unimportant and less needed things like being able to steer! Ha
