Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
Yea, let's keep it dry please.
Also, it's way better to keep adjusting the balance every event, that way we can keep the field diverse. Remember this is only the second event that the new Dev team has been putting out the builds, and on both occasions we have added multiple cars to the grid. It will go faster as we get used to it more, and I've be archiving the builds so that we can just load them up the next time we race at a certain track. As we get more builds, it will also give us more jumping points moving forward.

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
Who's going to control track limits (especially in eau rouge) in Qualifying? Because different to other TEC events white lines are now the track limits and not: "whatever, as long as your laps aren't invalidated by forza"
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
it will have to be done the way we always deal with track limits, if someone see's it happening, they put in an SI for it. all replays will need to be saved for it, and that way we can review any incidents that happen there.
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
So... you simply say i should wait until the 30th minute and then drive by myself to avoid getting cought I don't say I want to cut, but I think a lot of people will...

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
Ok here's the deal all Qualifying replays will be saved and uploaded ,on Friday I will review ALL replays and any driver seen abusing track limits will be subject to a time penalty added to their teams overall qualifying time.
if you cut by mistake then please lift off so I can see you are not doing this intentionally .

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
That's nice but it won't help because the quali is 45min long and the replays are only saving 26min (+-5min) so everything that happens after, is out of your control.
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
Just put the host of the session up there (if they aren't qualifying), they record anything that seems suspicious, then it gets looked at after qualifying
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
Actually, from what I found while testing the BoP. Often if you end up cutting the top of Eau Rouge too much, the car hops a little bit, and the loss of acceleration would put me slightly in the red.

I saw the same type of result as well while hot lapping.. It almost had me believing that the game was not flagging the dirty lap as dirty because it knew it was a slower line, but then I stopped fantasizing and remembered that the track limit flagging isnt intelligent at all... But either way, my fastest laps have me taking the clean line through radillion.. With that in mind though, I'm sure for some people, their fastest laps will come as a result of exceeding track limits.

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
So rain or not? Personally I'd like rain, if you learn where the puddles are it really isn't as much of a challenge. Quite easy to be honest after a while.

Well Stavelot is horrible in the rain. There's a stream just from left to right.

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
I vote dry. The way Spa is, up and down hills, the rivers are everywhere on track and it's a complete nightmare to navigate let alone race competitively... Forza's weather system is too extreme. If only we could combine the pCARS weather system with other aspects of it with forza... #perfect game
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
Yeah rain doesn't really do much on this game. Aesthetics are good but the gameplay is awful with it.

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
It's cool for a casual drive, but high-level competitive racing is horrible. Especially when you're stuck in it for 2 hours at a time. P.CARS time, weather, fuel & tyre settings are what we need. Too bad that game can't run online too well

I agree with Blacky - you just can save about 30 minutes. What will you do if somebody cant save the replay? (that happens very often to me) And how you will watch 80 drivers (or more) - 80 x 45 Minutes are 60 hours!
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
With a few heads skimming through replays it can be done believe me I have done this before ,granted replay time is a issue but if people want to start cheating after 30 mins then so be it nothing I can do .
one thing I will say is if you feel the need to cut to get a good laptimes you are really only cheating yourself .

Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
there is not a need to cut - i really agree with the Spa rules but sometimes it happens that a car drifts in eau rouge or you just miss the entry and then you cut because of a mistake and the time is faster.
Re: TORA TEC Spa 12H - General Discussion
With the level of drivers here, it shouldn't happen, but it will because we push the limits... Anyway, mistakes happen but purposefully cutting the track there is a no-no. Maybe if hosts/marshals that are qualifying can park their car in Eau Rouge or Raidillon and watch. If they cut, instruct the driver to drive off-track to decertify their lap and try again? You'd need extra staff for every Q session but this would be effective.
