Re: Project CARS.
I thought they said there would be a livery creator, But just not at launch on the console versions.
So that will still be the case in March?

Re: Project CARS.
The livery editor for the PC isn't in game you take a file and take it into an editing program like Photoshop. There maybe plans to include an full integrated editor at some point, the immediate plan is to enable you to edit your number

Re: Project CARS.
That's probably better than an in-game one. Allows for much more interesting designs.
Re: Project CARS.
i've mentioned it before, but EA had a thing with NASCAR 09, where you d/l'ed a Template for a car to your PC, (Camping World Truck/Nationwide Series car/Sprint Cup Car), edit it using editing software (i.e.: Photoshop), then upload the finished product to an "EA Locker" which you had to create an account to. Once uploaded, you could then d/l into the game

Re: Project CARS.
iRacing uses Trading Paints. You download the template for a car, edit with whatever photo editing software you have, then upload it to TP, and you have a custom paint.

Re: Project CARS.
The karts look immense fun. I had hoped for a few real world UK circuits. There's some epic tracks around. The one at Spa seems a little 'meh'. What about the Le Mans karting track? Or Buckmore? Clay Pigeon? There's loooaaaaads!
Re: Project CARS.
Hmm... just seen a video that show's that Suzuka is... well it's not Suzuka anymore
Re: Project CARS.
Sim Racer magazine recently had a preview of CARS and there were some interesting points raised.
What piqued my interest was the reviewer's description of the handling;
"For sheer naturalness of feel, this reviewer wouldn't put it quite on the level of an rFactor 2 or an Assetto Corsa, but it's close, very close."
"The cars react to weight transfer and slip angles realistically and in the expected ways. AWD, FWD and RWD cars and cars with various engine configurations generally behave as they ought to. The only serious criticism than can, again subjectively, be levelled at it is that the tyres seem to regain grip following an over-the-limit excursion in a somewhat abrupt manner, but this seems to be an anomalous and intermittent phenomenon. By and large, handling below, at, and past the limit of adhesion is, indeed, hardcore."

Re: Project CARS.
Maybe there's some licensing issues and the owners of Suzuka Circuit demanded that a recreated track can't be exact the same as the real one?

Re: Project CARS.
Yeah it's a Honda track same as Motegi.
Interesting as it also didn't reappear in FM5, nor did Motegi (also Honda owned)
