Good racing though today much better then last time out at brands seems the crash fest on purpose is dying down once more.
Lots of bumper to bumper incidents but what plato did to flash was a joke oh your in the way so im going to bump draft you out of the race

Re: BTCC 2012
That Ford didnt even need the extra boost, it was already the fastest in a straight line. Plato can only win championships by punting drivers off and hes going to lose heaps of respect if he keeps it going (if he hasnt already..) Still think Jordan has a shot of the championship this year.

Re: BTCC 2012
Everyone slated Plato for his bump on Shedden in race 3, but wasn't Jackson's move on Plato in race 1 exactly the same yet Jackson went unpunished TOCA's stewards lacking a bit of consistancy maybe??
I'd love Jordan to win the title this year, don't think he'll win enough races to sustain a title challenge however!

Re: BTCC 2012
It wasnt as blatant a shove out of the way as Plato did to Shedden I reckon.

Re: BTCC 2012
Maybe not quite as blatant but when Jackson hit Plato it was definately intentional he knew what he was doing. I can see why Plato got his penalty but surely if Plato got penalised so should have Jackson. As for Plato's contact perhaps because it was on the last lap, last corner the contact was more significant in terms of race result whereas the contact with Jackson was quite early on in race 1, so Plato had chance to try and regain some of the lost ground, but still the contact made Plato lose out on a possible race victory and gave Jackson a race victory!

Re: BTCC 2012
Cant believe they thought that truck would go on grass, the end of the race could of been epic.

Really disappointed theydid that. They should have used something like a tractor or a longer tow rope
Matt was lightning fast from the get go.. Would have been a shame if he lost a place after a safety car.

Re: BTCC 2012
Thnk that's bad, yesterday it took TWO trucks to tow Matt Neal's broken car away because they coudn't work out how to do it....
Suffice to say due to the conditions and many other reasons we have both come home early and will be watching the racing on TV rather than trackside.
I'm also very disappointed that ITV haven't been bothered to mention Andy Neate's HUGE crash in qualifying plus Rob Austins' one, both of which happened by our post. Neate's crash was so heavy that the Armco needed replacing. The marshals stood right where he impacted were VERY lucky not to be injured,

Re: BTCC 2012
Check a couple of posts up mate!
The teams were losing awnings through the night so we decided we weren't going to brave it today. Too cold and wet from yesterday. I wouldn't want to disuade people from going to Thruxton, but it aint no Silverstone or Castle Combe!!

^ Said like a true Englishman who has never been to Knockhill.
Of course, I kid, the conditions at Thruxton are awful! This was my first at-track BTCC experience as an 8 year old:
No better in '05 either.

Re: BTCC 2012
Wow, Knockhill 2005 was BAD. First experience of BTCC and got completely drenched. The rain was sideways at Duffus Dip. Loved it!
Gordon Shedden was ridiculously dominant today. Had the first race not been red-flagged, I truly believe the win was on. I know I am biased, but Shedden has staked his claim for the title this year with his four wins this year, despite getting almost nothing at Brands Hatch.
