TORA TCC - General Discussion

I was just wondering if anyone had spots left in a team? I will warn you, I might not be able to make many races, due to timezones (eg. ISCC being at 1 am on a school morning and GT being at 6 am on a school morning) and the Xbox live running out etc..) but I'd still like to be in a team, if anyone would like to give a rookie a spot

Yeah it makes it look good and it's more of a challenge for the winner of race 1, but who'd want to win race 1 then have no chance of realistically winning race 2! It's a challenge that's for sure but it takes away the reward of winning races reversing a grid of 16 in a 20 minute race is a bit extreme if it's anything like the way that the BTCC or WTCC do reverse grids that'll make it fair!

We talked about this and never came to a conclusion. It would make mroe sense to have the top 8 reversed, but then if there are only, say, 9 or 10 people in the lobby then they might be pretty miffed about having to still start at the back.

guys if you just switch the top 8 drivers could slow down or fake a mistake just to get on pole for race 2. Thats what happened with a driver in the past. At a place like tasukba all they need to do is just park thier car in the apex of the corners to stop overtaking.

Yeah, the problem is that sore-loser drivers are going to make sure they finish half-way in the grid to get the best chance... Kinda defeats the point.
And as for reversing the top 8, make it so that the first half of the grid are reversed, in case there is less than enough drivers.

Saw this and a couple of ideas popped in my head.

- points awarded for things than finish position (most laps lead, fastest time, etc...)

- decreased points for the 2nd race (to make finishing better in the 1st race more important)

I don't think anyone in the series is childish enough to try finish lower down so they have the best chance next race. If you do think a driver is guilty of deliberately finishing 8th or whatever then save the replay & show the race stewards. Who I'm sure will take appropriate action.

Tried to do some testing today with the rest of the gang and the lobbies were messing up regularly.

It'l be up at some point I'm sure. There is roughly 144 hours till qualifying, plenty time.

Any clarification on the reverse grid rule, as there are around 50 entries large grids will happen so clarification would be great

We'll be keeping it as it is in the rules, with the races being longer and if you are really that fast then you will have more of a chance to get up to the front.

Sorry for being a bit absent, yeah, as Richy says, reversing the full grid will be the case, for exactly the reason he states, with the race being longer, quicker drivers will have the challenge of fighting their way to the front.

So can I clear something up, the whole grid or the lobby grids?

Lobby grids. Lobby A will remain lobby A throughout the event. Each lobby will be reversed, but still scored based on which lobby it is.
