TORA Spec Miata - General Discussion

It sucks that all the chaos of Race 2 overshadowed the brilliance that was Race 1.

I had a race long battle with JKGrizzle and DTech PR, and we were pushing so hard that we caught up with IRT Dart Mario and silentalarm42 to make it a five car battle over the last couple laps.

This is the kind of racing that we had over the past few weeks, and I hope that is what everyone remembers about the Spec Miata World Tour: intense close racing with positions swapping many times each lap.

after both rounds i entered, i was pondering what the points would have been like i showed for the entire series.

well, on to the GT300's. get the picture Mikey of my Subie??

Seeing as you tied Tactical point-wise both times you raced the Miatas, chances are pretty good you two would have been pretty close.

I haven't been on XBL yet today, so no I haven't seen it yet. I take it that you received the numberbox and window banner.

i did.

fell asleep in my chair and woke up with an invite to race 2. lol sucks getting old. good series glad i made it to almost every event. fine folks to race with. sorry for all the early braking, but no race line takes some getting use to. all around good experiance look forward to the next event. take care

Yeah, race 1 was loads of fun. I ended up saving the replay and taking a pic from the (brief) moment silent, mario, and I were 3 wide on the last lap. It's currently my laptops background.

^ I remember that, had a great view from my seat.

I enjoyed Spec Miata Serie... Nice work!

Excellent championship, extreme races, great disputes on the track and great pilots!

That was my first tournament here in TORA and really enjoyed taking part.

Unfortunately I could not get on the podium because of a single race that did not participate, due to technical problems here, but even so I was in a great place that my first experience here in TORA.

my 40 th birthday today but it feels like more years to be honest, I feel your pain

I don't know yet, hadn't thought of it to be honest.

Mikey it seems the only guys to suffer from not having the line were the guys lower down on the field, puts a bit of a divide in the pack!.

I know of at least one fast guy who is dependent on it. It helped me bridge that gap.

The only reason that I am contemplating its use is to prevent unnecessary wrecks by those that cannot properly control their car w/o nanny aides.

the two races i entered, i practiced first with the 'Braking Only' line on (which is my norm), then went back and ran laps w/o it.
