Re: Project CARS.
It's in the settings Dom. At one end you get the same response as the buttons on PS2, on or off for throttle and brake. I don't remember my exact settings, but I think I have the sens on both below 50%. Doesn't feel too bad, but yeah, not as good as Forza. Might take a bit more tweaking.
Re: Project CARS.
When will PCARS have its own paint shop just like on the PC ? even if it just changing the number of the car.

Re: Project CARS.
Not really. They can't have a paint booth that is anywhere close to what FORZA has or T10 can sue them for copyright infringing..
But that doesn't mean they aren't trying to figure it out, just that it's not as easy to do as we thought and that it will be way more time consuming than they may of projected.

Only time will tell... but would TORA consider dropping the hole car number thing If we don't get any sort of paint/changing number option's ?

Re: Project CARS.
How does the controller settings work with a wheel?
Do the settings go back to stock when I plug in my wheel? Or are the settings linked?
Cause I set up my controller, then used my TX wheel to continue to race. And I have no idea if and what settings were changed or used.

If we have a paint editor of some description or even a number editor for the pre-existing paints that would make things a whole lot easier for all concerned.
SMS have been really receptive to our suggestions so far so I'm confident that eventually everything will come together well,

Exactly, just going to take a little longer than we all had hoped.

Forza 4 still works wonderfully well for all of this just saying

You still got a point right there! And I think as long there is still fun at F4, there will be races.MVG skyshadow5 wrote:Forza 4 still works wonderfully well for all of this just saying

I have Project CARS, FM5 and of course FM4 and it is still a lot of fun 'cos everything just, well, works.
Giving this 1st series a miss on P Cars but will be involved in all the TCC / Spec Cup action (if FM6 doesn't pull us all away!).

Agreed, and I know lots of people are saying the same... but even I can see smaller and smaller grids for each passing FM4 series
People always think that the latest has to be the greatest, but in this case its not. However, when the FM4 numbers dip too small, the plug will be pulled.

Agreed, there will come a time when it is simply no longer viable to use FM4 (and a sad day that will be too) but on the upside, hopefully by the time that day comes, FM6 will be the game we *hope* it should be (I had to laugh as I wrote that) and or PCars will be patched and running the way we want it too.
Re: Project CARS.
Pcars has a long way to go for league racing......... 8 cars per lobby? how many hosts will you need for the GT Series? Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying Pcars, but the most fun is in solo racing against 37 cars and starting in the rear(engine change) LOL

Yup, if you're qualifying tonight please allow a little extra time for the patch to download
Re: Project CARS.
If it hasnt been posted already, next update will have a 14% FPS increase, as well as a solid 60 in all conditions according to one of the developers.

Discuss.
If I were a snarky person I might say they should get a kickstarter going first to fix the current game, but I'm not, so I won't.

Re: Project CARS.
Don't get me wrong, the stuff they've announced for it sounds great. Rallycross? Awesome! banned racing cars? Awesome!
But WHY less than 2 months after launching number 1 and it still being broken? Have they just given up and thought screw it we'll make it better next time?
I was really looking forward to this first one, and when it's going well and working it's great. However the fact that just last week a bug deleted my entire save game and a load of other peoples, and yet now they're announcing number 2? Stupid

Re: Project CARS.
Remember this is FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT, that you can now invest in the development of the game - the game will probably take 3+ years to develop once they have the necessary funding (probably looking at a 2018 release). SMS have already said that 40 staff will continue to work on fixes and updates for Project CARS 1, while a small team starts work on the sequel - PCARS 1 isn't being abandoned, there's a massive amount of new content still to come (as well as updates and fixes).
All games start work many years ahead of release - development on Forza 6 started even before Forza 5 was released (Dan Greenawalt confirmed this recently in an interview - they have an advance team that starts work on the NEXT game years ahead). The difference there is Turn 10 are internally funded by Microsoft so don't have to tell everyone about it 2 years in advance. Project CARS is a crowd-funded (i.e. Kickstarter) game, so they need to raise the money in advance to green-light development.
I know people are annoyed with the timing of the announcement, but honestly no time is a good time. They had to wait until after the launch of PCARS1 (to see how it sold and if the project was viable); wait a year and don't announce anything and the game will take a year longer to develop. The good news is that it WAS a commercial success, and console sim racing is a viable product - if it wasn't, there wouldn't be a Project CARS 2 funding announcement at all. The funding target for PCARS is £7m I believe, so nearly double PCARS1 budget, will be interesting to see how much they raise.

Re: Project CARS.
^ I really thought that was obvious, I'm surprised at the amount of people actually annoyed that a sequel to this game is being made in the same process as the current one.
Personally I won't be investing until some gameplay videos start doing the rounds and I can see what it's all about.
